Definitely did not see Gareth Bale moving to Real Madrid. I'm in shock.

Ozil to Arsenal and Suarez to Real is the rumour. I just can't see it at the moment; how do Real have another £50m to spunk? Why would they sell someone who before summer was probably their second best player? Even if Isco is a replacement, why not sell Kaka and give Ozil one more season?
Saying that, if it happens I will definitely be jealous of Arsenal. Top player; could do better than them.

Kaka has gone already, I think. Back to Meelan on a free.
Really hope Arsenal don't get Ozil. United could do with him if anything.

Viviano reportedly going to Arsenal too, on the day Szczesny plays his best game in months.
While these would be good signings, brilliant signing in Ozil's case I don't think a GK & attacking midfielder are what Arsenal need as top priorities.

And Ed Woodward is not paying roughly £2-3 million more to save a bit of money.. WHAT ON EARTH WERE ALL THE SPONSORS FOR?!!! mental breakdown imminent.. christ this is frustrating. Don't think a panic buy is any good however. But it is clear that United need strengthening in several areas.

I'd like to nick Ozil and Arsenal hardly need him (they just need a big name) but I don't think we're desperate for him. Kagawa has so much promise once he gets fit. We need a deeper cm rather than an acm.

Some United fans really don't know how lucky they are... more-or-less the same team that won the Premier League at a canter last season.

If we get nothing we can still win the league. But standing still is never good. SAF was excellent at not standing still. Doesn't help we were sh*t today but if we don't get anyone we can deal with it.
Still want a cm though.

Fair dos. Just seems from a neutral point of view there's a shed load of knee jerking because of today's result. The CM position does seem a bit short and not sure if Cleverley is the man to be there throughout the season but still not a bad player to have. Moyes generally did little transfer business at Everton it should be noted, one of the reasons why he did so well there so his team gelled so well.

Should not be allowed to go to a club that we're likely to be around this season. Understand the club want him off the books but rather he went to Qatar.

Saying that, if it happens I will definitely be jealous of Arsenal. Top player; could do better than them. Ozil is too inconsistent. He can have him moments of brilliance in games he's been quite in, but doesn't do enough. He is one of my favourite players, but a move was needed with Isco coming in who has the potential to be even better imo. His game time would have been even more limited because of this as well, not good for someone that only started 28 games last season. Isco looks the part already anyway, walked in and took Ozil's position in a matter of weeks. Apparently Ozil wanted to leave as well, but I can't believe this is Arsenal's "surprise." It's a panic buy, simple as that. Are they trying to replace Carzloa, probably their 2nd best player? He's about the only thing Arsenal don't need. A CB, fullback, striker and even a GK should have been more of a priority. One more thing on Ozil though, Ronaldo will miss him! I don't think 2 players link up better on the planet.

By the way, how awkward was it listening to Bale try and address the Real Madrid fans in Spanish?

We've signed Peter Odemwingie from West Brom. Mixed feelings on this one. No doubt he's a pretty good player but I'm not a fan of his attitude at all.

Can't stand the thought of Ozil going to Arsenal. Doubt we'll get anyone in. Hulk was rumoured, but £10m for a season-long loan is an absolute rip-off. Disco Benny is meant to be going out, which may suggest we move for a left back, but I'm not sure really.

Think Ozil won't bring them to the level of the top 3, but he will be the difference between them and Spurs imo. They need a cb, gk and fb more though.
Both Herrera and Fellaini would be great for me. Herrera sounds like he'll be class in a couple of years, and Fellaini will be useful, not bothered that he's from Moyes' old club. Will be disappointed if we don't get them though. Would've liked Ozil but we have Kagawa so we hardly need him.
