UPDATE: We'll keep all customs we post in this thread from now on, but the easiest way to keep up with our posts is to visit diebutonce.com. Alundra Blayze on page 2We've been heads-down working on commissions, pretty standard stuff for the most part. However, we really enjoyed working on this piece, as the buyer was extremely engaged, providing us with pictures and input to make sure we nailed it. www.diebutonce.com/wrestlemania-xxvii-edge/Quick hits: Fabric tights, kickpads, and elbow pads World title belt Faux rubies Genuine leather strap Edge nameplate Custom-made entrance jacket modeled after the real thing Hand painted Dozens of tiny rhinestones and patch details applied by hand Unlike factory-made Edge jacket, this allows the arms to still be posed Custom-made "Rated-R Superstar" base plays entrance music loud and clear We have a lot to say about this figure and the post is heavily formatted, so I hope you don't mind making the jump: www.diebutonce.com/wrestlemania-xxvii-edge/Feedback is always welcome. Thanks for looking.

That Edge custom looks absolutely flawless from what pic reference details. Everything down to the paints, hair, facescan and armpads have no noticeable issues whatsoever. I was really impressed how well you guys painted Edge's kneepads with the Skull on one side and the Rated R symbol on there other. That must have take so much precision just to get the stroke's perfect without and chunks or sloppy lines. This has to be the best custom I've ever saw, great job Die Once!

Those designs actually aren't painted on. They were made in Photoshop using reference pictures and then printed out as waterproof fabric iron-ons. Graphic design is really time-consuming but it's the only practical way to achieve that level of precision on this small scale. Hope you still like it

This is one of the best and accurate custom figure I've ever see, also looked at your other work.. I think I might've found a new favorite custom maker.

Swapping parts that require dremeling and cracking open torsos (as opposed to simple popping) qualifies as a custom, doesn't it? In any case, the hair was painted and shortened and some of the tattoos were colored by hand.

For the record, in addition to culling parts from a bunch of different figures, the fingers were made poseable and the boots were trimmed to make a more seamless transition between the tights and the kick pads. Thanks and thanks to everyone for the kind words.

Just curious, but how much did the buyer pay for this? I want to see if it would be in my budget to get something this awesome.

Just curious, but how much did the buyer pay for this? I want to see if it would be in my budget to get something this awesome. I want to see as well! We sold this for $150, but the price would normally be $200 (more on that below). Not every figure is created equal or requires as much labor, though, and you can see examples on our site of customs priced for half that. It really depends on the subject and the features. E.g.: If someone just wants Mr. Perfect in a different singlet, there's not really a whole lot of detail we can put into it and the price would reflect that. We gave the buyer a discount based on the fact that he clearly overpaid for another WM 27 Edge from another customizer which was just not up to par. We're fans first and we take that sort of thing into account, so we decided to hook him up with a reduced price. Also, in case this helps: www.diebutonce.com/frequently-asked-questions/

The only thing I don't like is the size of the elbow pads. They should be much smaller and not cover up the tattoos as much.

The only thing I don't like is the size of the elbow pads. They should be much smaller and not cover up the tattoos as much. At the end of the match, they were rolled up and looked smaller, but we made them just about as long as they were initially: They're also easily removed in case one wanted to reveal the tattoos.
