Jake "The Snake" Roberts: WOW, JUST WOW! The face is spot on, I love the wrinkles in the forhead & I also love the little paunch belly that he has and the fact that the chest is not over muscled but the arms are.

Dr. Death Steve Williams: Too cool! Another killer job on the face! Love the boots and the body size is perfect!

"Stunning" Steve Austin: This one is one I ALWAYS wanted to put in my WCW ring set up on top of my old entertainment center! Love the original tights, hair & ponytail, I wish I was your brother and you felt obligated to make me these lol!

Nikita Koloff: GREAT! I love the paint, the open mouth "AAAHHHHHH" & THE SICLE! The chain is a perfect top off!

Big Van Vader: This is the 1st one I ever saw that you did searching Galoobs online & I almost crapped myself! I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT! I love that you did the 1st appearance mask and not the later one (although, I'd love to see your version with the 2nd mask!)

Masahiro Chono: I dont think I've ever seen a face on a figure as good as this one! Spot on perfect on the whole thing!

Great Muta: BEYOND AWESOME! Again spot on with the outfit, taped fingers are awesome! Facepaint is great! I'd love to see the white face paint on this one but that certianly is not a negative on the red, I would have said red if you made white! If you were mass producing these, this is one just like Sting that everyone would have bought 100 times over just for the new paint!

"Ravishing" Rick Rude: OMG, NOW YOUR KILLING US! I want this one so bad my stomach hurts! I love the face & hair, also the paint is perfect. I 1st thought the SIMPLY RAVISHING would go better on the back of the tights, then thought no, they prob would have done the same thing so you could see it through the card bubble. You clearly thought of everything!

List of ones I'd like to see:
DOOM - with the black tights & "D" boots. With or without masks. (always was mad they came in sweats?!)

Cactus - of course

Stan Hansen - w tabacco hangin out his mouth & chaps & cowbell (wasnt there long, but clobbered Luger good for that US title!)

Road Warriors - I was always upset they weren't in the 1st set. I know they left before these were on store shelves, but they woulda been awesome!

Rock n Roll Exp & Midnight Exp. - I know they made the prototype of Ricky which was cool, but Robert with the one eye off to the side a little would be killer!

OZ - Just because it would be funny & Im sure the figure would look excelent coming from you!

My Galoob story: (only read it if your into it, a bit off topic!)
I remember going into KMART in 91 before I even knew they were making a toy line of WCW. They were moving the toy isles around & there were no figures of any kind on the shelves. Walking down the isle my eye caught the letters WCW on a sticker on the end of those metal figure hooks & thats how I found out they were coming! I asked a guy working there & he had no clue what I was talking about. I went back several times thru the next few days & there it was, Sting, Arn & WOOOO Ric Flair hanging on a near enpty hook. They were almost gone the same day they put em up. So then I went to several towns around me in the following weeks hitting KMARTs everywhere until I got em all.

KMART was the 1st chain to carry them, TOYS R US didn't even have them. KMART sold the crap outta these for many months. I think that was part of the problem that ended the line. The fact that KMART did so well with these for so long TOYS R US finally put in a huge order for them and then several other department stores did as well not realizing that by then 90% of the fans that wanted them had already bought them. So TOYS R US and others didnt do as well & before too long these ended up being closed out with bargin prices in KB Toys. So ended my favorite toy line ever.

Don't apologize, man I enjoy reading your post. I can't honestly say where I got my only 2 Galoobs ( Sting and Ric Flair ) from because I don't remember. I do remember though seeing Galoobs all over the place where I live when I was growing up. 

I would like to see HMan do a Cactus Jack figure too.

Thanks! Ya the inital run was very scarce. After the many months went by & the other chains signed on to sell them Galoob must have made craploads of them because they were everywhere! A year or so after that, I remember seeing a bunch of just Ron Simmons in a dollar store lol.

Ya, those would be cool! HMan is seemingly moving forward from 1990 thru the mid 90s, like what woulda been made had the line continued. But I was thinking kinda the same thing. Like maybe in 93ish with the start of Slamboree they would have made a line of WCW CLASSIC figures.

Magnum TA, Dusty Rhodes in Bunkhouse attire, Funk. Road Warriors, Barbarian & Tony Atlas (which would work for WCW 93 or a classic line), Brad Armstrong, JYD (classic or 89-91)

It's sad to think WCW never had the marketing machine WWF did and does have.

It's almost like anyone who worked for their marketing team saw it as just a job (whereas we'd think it was AWESOME) and only did the bare minimum to publicize the company.

For example, WCW only had the two Galoob lines with one only being in UK, the one line of bendies and a few buddies. WCW rarely publicized videos (only ever found a few videos at the local store), they didn't have the dozen page catalogs in magazines and they even went a year (1994-1995) without a magazine.

I can't recall ever even seeing Galoobs in Toys R Us. I seem to recall seeing them originally in KB and in mid 1991 on clearance at Children's Palace. Latest I saw them was Value City in 1994 and I bought a Luger buddy at Best in 1993.

If the Galoob line continued I wonder if the UK exclusives (at least the new ones like Rhodes and Gigante) would be released to the US.

neznarf69 thanks for your exhaustive comments! I really dig that you have thought about the details of the figures from my perspective. Going the extra mile to sculpt a paunch on Jake or the loose pony tail on Steve Austin is worth it because for me it those details that make the figures come to life. Its all about the details!

It took me a while to decide which attire Muta should be depicted in considering he had so many awesome attire combinations. Funnily enough my Muta custom originally did have white face paint with Red Writing on , but i changed it because i found the white paint actually makes it harder to see all the facial characteristics. Almost washes out all the expression from the face. So Red was the better option. A Black attire Muta is 2nd colourway option i would love to work on...one day.

Regarding your thoughts on Rick Rude's decals: Yes you're spot on, I absolutley considered what the figure's visibilty from inside the (hypothetical) blister would be like , so decided to concentrate them onto the front of the figure.LOL

Regarding a Vader with the open mask: Absolutley! Vader was the first figure i worked on and from the start i had to make a decision which mask to choose. But once i've got through the main characters that need to be done, i will work on that one just coz i really really want to!

Believe it or not OZ was very nearly the figure i made instead of Rick Rude. But i just thought i really need to focus on the Legendary wrestlers of WCW before i do the wrestlecrap. Speaking of wrestlecrap, i dont think Galoob would've ever even considered it, but for a laugh i've thought how funny it would be to create a Galoob style Shock master complete with Cape, Helmet and even a section of wall to fall through! LOL

All your suggestions for figures are great, and you've really understood the WCW time period i'm focused on. Maybe at some point i will expand into the earlier NWA era a little more. Magnum TA, Dusty... especially the Road warriors! I would love to work all on those figures. The problem is there are so many characters that i would love to work on but i dont know if i'll ever find the time to make them all! I'm only one man with one pair of hands, and doing a job properley takes time! Thanks for all your comments and enthusiasm.

The UK line was supposed to be part of the 2nd series along with the ones that were seen later as prototypes. Jim Ross made reference to it at some point either on his radio show or on TV that the 2nd series was in the works & would be released soon but this was before Galoob went stupid and mass produced the 1st set. If Galoob was smart, they wouldn't have rereleased the 1st line again after the inital release. They would have waited until at least those that ended up in the UK were finished and ready to ship then boxed those with some repaints and released them here. But after KMART did so well with them, then TOYS R US and several other department stores bought them not realizing that the fan base was less then the WWFs & most of which had already purchased them. The UK set was not a set that was intended to be only released there. It was a salvage & recovery idea they came up with because the 1st set had not been released over there. The reason they got the entire 1st set repainted was that even after Toys R Us was taking a bath in these figures GALOOB WAS STILL MAKING THEM LOL!

Even the Hasbro line had to tweek the number of pieces for each set several times to avoid over production. Did anyone here have a tough time finding the Hasbro LOD & Nasty Boys? Thats because Hasbro totally over produced the inital 3 set Tag Teams they did. Demolition flew off the shelves but the Bushwackers & Rockers were everywhere. So when they made LOD & Nasty Boys they actually short packed them in with Bushwackers & Rockers. Toys R Us complianed to Hasbro (I actually called Hasbro back in the day looking for LOD, this is what the lady there told me!) that they wanted only the new tagteam sets. So they did start packing the boxes differently but Toys R Us did not buy a lot because they were swiming in the 1st set as well which is why the tag team figures in sets after that came on single cards.

OOOoops, I just realized that we are a bit off the topic of H-Mans beyond awesome customs, so Im sorry about that. I was just big into this line back then & know a lot about it.

I've said this before WCW had plenety of merchandise to sell to the fans but the higher up's at Turner ( TBS ) just didn't push the merchandise as hard and as great as Vince did with the WWF
