I'm drawn, but at the same time, Quack reminds me of that one episode of South Park. The one episode where no matter how much his life/business is in debt and jeopardy, he will NOT break character.

I feel like the only thing way to understand what the hell is going on was if I were on drugs.

Eddie Kingston should do what Larry Sweeney did for the ICW/ICWA Tex-Arkana Television Championship, and defend the Grand Championship EVERYWHERE.

Even if you just pay the workers $10 each I don't see how Quack doesn't lose a bunch money on each of those wrestling is shows.

If you pay the workers $10 each, you can make money....ESPECIALLY at how many people Chikara was drawing at that point. Hell....I paid $20 for my low level company that was drawing 150-200 people. 1-2 draw names and $20 for the indy workers. The real money is in the food. Of course Chikara also had merchandising, so that also helped. Its not all made in attendance.

My point is these wrestling is shows draw crap. If you draw 40 people I don't see how you could make any money. After you pay the fee for the building, ring, the workers, you can't help but be in the red.

From what I can observe, Chikara made most if not all through merchandise and through SMV. Think about it, their smallest shows had probably 40 people but those same shows would sell hundreds if maybe a thousand online.

Chikara shuts down, and gets a tv deal... kinda.
Mega popular comic book & sci fi influenced independent wrestling promotion to be featured on Sundays as part of channel's live-action block.
While wrestling fans have been mourning the apparent death of one of the most beloved independent wrestling promotions of all time, anime channel Neon Alley is bringing the CHIKARA library to it's 24/7 channel available on Mac/PC, PS3 and XBOX 360.
The channel, which launched in October 2012, is the only service which offers English dubbed anime, uncut and uncensored, 24/7 365...except for Sundays when the channel becomes a mix of anime movies and marathons along with live-action martial arts classics, and now CHIKARA.
The channel has acquired 26 CHIKARA events which will debut each Sunday as part of the channel's new fall lineup. The episodes will also be available as part of Neon Alley's "Catch Up" service which makes all Neon Alley shows available the following day on-demand. Each episode will remain available in Catch Up for at least 2 weeks. Episodes will be 2 hour edited versions of events, though all matches featured will be shown in their entirety

It isn't an actual tv channel. It is some streaming channel which costs like $7 a month.

I miss Chikara Apparently they are thinking about an official re-start in February 2014. Apparently their talent has been told.

With all these rudo groups shutting down all the Wrestling Is federations, I can see Chikara coming back as one to fight all these evils!

I feel like they had something going for real in 2011, and now we're in 2014 hoping for a comeback. What a damn shame this turned out to be, but I still have hope that I'll get to see a King of Trios live!

Chikara, when it went out, was the hottest it had ever been. Now, nothing. You cannot convince me otherwise that they're not losing money hand over fist for this crap. There are a thousand better angles and stories you can tell that don't involve SHUTTING YOUR ING COMPANY DOWN FOR MONTHS AT A TIME.

It's completely backwards business, and I hate everything about it. I just want some wrestling.

I can only hope that Quack sends himself an email critiquing his performance in the latest ashes video.
