My first was done in January of last year as well. For those who haven't seen it, here you go wfigs.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=stickani&action=display&thread=237962I'm trying to inspire myself to participate in events along with you guys and the only real way I feel I can do that is to practice some hard or average ani's. Any constructive criticism would be much appreciated. Thanks for reading!

Well it does have smoothness to it, but really it needs improvemnt in all areas. So instead of overwhelm you with everything that's wrong in the animation I would just say for now, really focus on the joint movements, when you attempt to animate a move, watch how that move is executed over and over again, to get a god understanding of how it is really executed in real life, take your time be paitent, always move every joint in every frame, make sure the movements make sense to what is going on, and the Biggest thing is keep practicing, don't get discouraged, the biggest thing is just to practice practice practice.

It is choppy. It is impactless. BUT! You working your way back into making animations plus being the moderator is something I respect.
You are taking time to reply to anyone who post an animation, you give others some useful tips and share some kind words with animators everytime they are active on this forum.
You are certainly already aware of the areas where you need work. This reply won't really rely on the animation itself, altought it being your first since a year you did well in giving your best, but mostly on high-fiving the moderator for opening and messing around with Pivot again.
Hope to see more from you ! Keep up the good work!

Thank you for the motivating comment Blunt, I should really work on that when I comment as well. Yes, I realize it should practice realistic joint movement for both stick's, I'm sure I would have had a easier time analyzing those movements better if I referred to a video of some sort. I originally intended to create chokeslam but I realized with the position the stick was positioned in mid air I thought it wouldn't flow very well so I decide to do a Baldo driver mid-way threw from idea only so I guessed how the movements were suppose to be. Thank you Sicks, it really means alot coming from a person such as yourself. I thought that I was way overdue in posting another animation and I did have fun creating this animation. Noted, it took a couple hours for me and I did get somewhat tired of it towards the end but I decided to carry on and finish.

Once a year! Not bad I guess, a lot of stiffness though. BION has covered a lot of it. I'd look into trying to keep realistic movements in the joints, for example the legs look like they break as they bend up... they shouldn't do that. Practice makes perfect, I think you'll get the hang of it. Good to see you animate, you seem to be a pretty positive and helpful person which is good as mod. Hopefully more people will join our little board here.
