.....aaaand you've been reported. I hope it was worth it. Back on topic, I wasn't thrilled with the whole format of the All-Star race this year. As much as I hated the sandbagging last year, it was a better race than the whole "average finish" thing. I would like to see them take next year off from the All-Star Race and bring back the Winston Million format (call it the 'Sprint Million') with Daytona 500/Coke 600/Darlington/Bristol Night Race. I'm aware the "Winston Million" had the Talladega Race, but meh... Bristol night race would be awesome. Depending how the first races went... could make for an interesting Darlington/Bristol Night Race. For example, if Tony Stewart won the Daytona 500 & Darlington, you'd go into Coke 600 and Bristol with the idea that he could win the "Sprint Million". I don't know. I think it would be cool.

I liked the Winston No Bull races [IIRC, that's what they were called]. I'm totally down with that idea in any case, I think that could inject some much needed excitement back into the sport we love.

To Flock Maurice Petty Jack Ingram Fireball Roberts Dale Jarrett
The NASCAR Hall Of Fame Class Of 2014! Congratulations to these men. All deserving of the accolade. And hopefully 2015 includes Rick Hendrick and Richard Childress, who were up for nominations this year.

(Assuming those two are still active in 2015) I'm on the "Should be retired to go into the Hall Of Fame" bandwagon. Not that they don't deserve it or anything, but they're still active and improving on their achievements.

How two owners that can win more races and championships is on the ballot before someone like Bill Elliott is shin kicking worthy.

Smoke returns to Victory Lane! He won it at Dover today. Teammate of my favourite drivers or not, I laughed my ass off when Johnson got nailed for jumping the restart with 20 to go.....

I think NASCAR really crapped the bed with the black flag to Jimmie Johnson. Juan didn't go between the lines and that is the restart zone, after that the starter controls the race and Jimmie went. Was Jimmie supposed to stop on the front stretch after going and wreck the field? Bad call imo.

You can't beat the leader back to the line and not concede the spot. Had he done that, even slightly, no penalty. He just kept going though and that's where the problem came. It wasn't really that he beat him to the line, rather he just kept racing. Look at the replay, it's not like there's a stream of cars in the inside lane, it's only Johnson that takes off on the restart like that.

The rule also that if the leader does not go in between the lines (restart zone) then the flagman controls the re-start and Jimmie went with the flag. The 'give the spot' back is bullcrapanyway. Why should Juan go up there and take it back knowing that the 48 was the best car? The thought process is simple: "I won't pass him and get him black flagged".I'm just saying that I don't agree with the call solely because Juan crapthe bed on the restart. "Judgment Call" rules don't work and this is proof. Doesn't really matter now anyway. I just don't want to hear "NASCAR did (x) to help Jimmie win!" anymore.

Bottom line is JJ beat JPM back to the line. Rule says he had to concede the spot, and he did not do so, therefore was penalized as such. It's not a judgement call, it's the rule. Plus, again, JPM didn't mess up the restart. If he did, the whole inside line would have flew past, just like Johnson did when he took off. The inside wouldn't have stacked up, trying not to beat JPM to the line, if Johnson didn't jump the restart.

Lucky!!! I wanna meet Austin.. I've honestly never really liked Austin. He's always came off as a douchebag, but he was real cool when I met him. We talked about all the hot girls walking around in their boots and short shorts.

Anybody else think Joey Logano is a dick for trying to run the Nationwide race at Iowa in the first place?
