Got to beat the crowd, the officials and the kings Typical butthurt fan. "These refs are why we're not winning!" ... I'm so glad I no longer use the officiating in sports as a scapegoat.

Got to beat the crowd, the officials and the kings Typical butthurt fan. "These refs are why we're not winning!" ... I'm so glad I no longer use the officiating in sports as a scapegoat. They talked about that horrible tripping call almost the entire intermission. How many times do I have to watch the officials the rangers? The entire game 2 and now this.

Being upset at the call is understandable. It was a controversial call. Can't blame the officials, though.
Who's to say Muzzin gets called and the Rangers go on the PP, which leads to the Kings scoring short handed... or killing the penalty and scoring on the following rush?
Sports are full of "what if's"... Rangers wouldn't be in this mess, had the defense been a little strong in front of Lundqvist. Then again, LA's forecheck has been on par to what they did against New Jersey.
Kings outplayed the Rangers in those last 20 minutes. Plain and simple.

I GET TO STAY! YAAAAAAAAAAY! GO KINGS!
Seriously though, those Rangers were playing out of their minds...just the King got an unlucky bounce. Congrats to the Kings.

Not colors I want to see, but seeing Richards hand Carter the Cup still puts a smile on my face.
Until Free Agency, gents. GO KINGS GO!

Congrats to the Kings, they deserved it. I had a strong feeling the winner of Hawks/Kings was taking the cup. Sorry NY, but they weren't on the same level. Despite this not being an overly memorable cup final, overall, I think this was an awesome 2014 playoff series.
Everyone, don't be too sad, the season opener is less than 4 months away. Then we get to do this all over again. I'm already excited about it!

Good to see a Michigan kid end the game with Martinez.
Congrats Kings, well deserved win for sure.

Henrik Lundqvist did absolutely everything within his power to push the Rangers forward. To the point where he was throwing stretch passes down the ice to setup scoring chances. The Ranges were so outmatched though. That right there was a firsthand look at the gap between the Eastern and Western Conference right now. The Kings in 4 wouldn't have surprised me and so the dominant performance they displayed tonight to wrap it up in 5 came as no surprise. Congrats to the Kings.
I will say I would have personally given the Conn Smythe to Jeff Carter. He generates so many plays and he is damn near dominant with puck possession at times. Williams was the media darling and had some great moments but I thought Carter and Kopitar were the best players throughout the Kings run.

Congrats to the Kings! Played one hell of a series and are an extremely well built team. They deserved to win this one. Wish the Rangers could have pulled it out but when you go down 3 games to 1, you need to play nearly perfect. I know a lot of fans rip on 'King' Henrik but my god, this guy is the reason the Rangers even came close to the cup. Lundqvist deserves all the credit in the world for his performances throughout the post season and I look forward to watching him again.
But again, Congratulations to the LA Kings!

Hank was crapting the bed in all three series!
... did any of you actually WATCH these playoffs, before the Cup Final?
He's a great goaltender, yes. However, the reason the Rangers made it as far as they did was their defense and blocked shots. Kings' offense is entirely too stacked with talent, to not easily penetrate that defense and get shots in on Lundqvist... which they did.

Even with how good Henrik is, it still blows my mind that J.S. Giguere once won the Conn Smythe Trophy... as a member of the losing team.
Congrats to LA!
