Please bear with me as this topic hopefully will be interactive with my fellow collectors. jcsuperman13 will hopefully be able to add his loose pics to this thread later this week. Anyone else who can post pics, PLEASE do so. Figures are my specialty, not rings. Sadly that is my Hasbro weakness. I welcome any comments on those collectors who can discuss the different colored ring posts, turnbuckles, etc. Thank you all in advance ! I never bought any of my rings to open so I am going to list the American ones that I have still sealed: Blue Ring- "Ages 5 & Up" on top of box Blue Ring- "Ages 4 & Up" on top of box (scarcer of the 2 to find) Yellow Ring- factory shrinkwrapped (overseas release I believe- scarcer of the 2 yellow versions) Yellow Ring- no shrinkwrap OTHERS: There was the infamous JC Penney ring that came with the bagged Hogan 1 and bagged Savage 1 figures inside. There were rings that were released in the UK that came with a sound box. Another came with a sound box and two random MOC figures packaged with them. (UK or German closeout release) I will end this series of articles off with a bang as my final topic will be Hasbro Error pieces. These errors will be both loose and MOC pieces. Thanks for reading & contributing!

This is what I know...
US Blue ring with blue circle posts and silver plated belt US Blue ring with blue square posts and silver plated belt US King of the Ring ring Foreign Blue ring with black square posts, slightly different sticker, and shiny gold plated belt
Now here are my questions...
Besides having the sound modules, are these the only LOOSE variations?
Also, I have come across quite a few gold belts that show signs of silver underneath. Do you think these were customs or did Hasbro re-paint the belts?

Did you or are you going to cover the mini figs? Or are they also something that you don't really specialize in?

First the Protos: Note the Belt Note the Cloth Ring Skirts and the Lack of the WWF Logo in the Center These two are the Standard US first release rings. Blue Ring with Blue Square Top Post Blue Ring with Blue Round Top Posts This is the Standard UK release Blue Ring with Black Square Top Posts Blue Ring with Black Round Top Posts Yellow Ring UK Soundboxes With Switch No Switch Not many people realize but there were actually 2 versions of the Heavyweight title. One Silver which was standard, and one Gold which is the rarer of the two. The Mini Royal Rumble Ring Not a Ring but still cool and it kinda fits here... Storage Box

Sorry but unfortunately not. I had the ring years many years ago and sold it for $150.00. I was going to buy another but wasn't that into the mini-figures. I also recently sold the 3 sets of 4. Thanks for coming through with the pics jcsuperman13 !!!

The 2 random MOC figures that came with the rings, how random were they? Did they come from every series, or just a few?

Crippler19- thanks for the foreign ring pics! The figures seem to be only from the various 1992 assortments.

Anyone know why they switched from the round to sqaure posts? I always assumed it was for the figs with the "jumping" action. I remember wanting the round one but all the ones I had were always square(2 US and 1 foreign) and being mad that this other kid had the round posts.

Thanks for the article, again. Every time I read a new one I love my Hasbro's more and more.
I have the blue one with black square top posts, the one with the sound box (the only ring in my collection that is still MIB), the Rumble Mini Ring and the yellow one. Man, I remember back when I just bought my yellow ring they had tons of it at my hometown in Austria. And I grabbed the one which's ground was corrugated. Had anyone else this prob with his yellow Hasbro Ring?

I ordered all my foreign rings from John's Collectibles and Toys back in 1994, as he had many for really cheap. I re-sold quite a bit of them later on Ebay for much more since people thought it was a huge variation amongst the American rings. I actually have one box with half blue and black. I've actually thought about selling my JCPenny exclusive ring on Ebay, but maybe I might just let that go when ::gulp:: I let my american Hasbro collection go.
P.S. Thank you Hasbromaniac for the informative collection of WWF Hasbro threads you made.
