Whats your New Years Resolution for Mattel figures? I know it seems like a pointless thread but I'm just wondering. At the moment I have 35 Mattels. My new years resolution is to hit 50 before 2014. So I have 365 days to collect 15 figures. What's yours?

I started mine a few weeks early. Mine is to cut back on collecting and focus more funds on the wedding and preparation for the house. Focusing only on Elites and people who have only had a Basic figure.

mine was also to cut back alot. i restarted collecting last year, january 2012 and it took me a good year, but i feel pretty caught up. granted there were atleast 3 instances i went overboard and remained broke for 10+ days in between paychecks, i kinda feel it was worth it. im going to be saving up for a new car this year, so actually i hope mattel has a bland year so i dont splurge again lol

Mine is to stop making customs/fixups and to very rarely buy figures. It's become way too expensive and monotonous.

no more repaints focus new characters and must haves thats it and try to not pay over retail

I'm dieing to get a new shelf for my current roster. I want to put up a big fancy shelf on the wall. But my wife reminds me that I just bought this nice bookshelf to replace my slightly smaller bookshelf, and it would be a waste of money to replace it so soon. I'll ask her again after I buy her a third pair of those ugly ass Ugg boots. Bet that cannery will sing a different tune then.  |

To continue my trend of finding EVERY single elite series at retail at one point or another. This year I did it and it be nice if I could contiune my lucky streak! Basics too for that matter!

Pay off my credit cards in the first six months of the year, lower the amount I owe on my car by half. Collecting wise, only buy the characters I really want.
