Alright so I have a Canon EOS 500D camera. From what I see, it can only make 3:2. I'd like to know if there's any way to take 16:9 pictures with it...

I know, but for animating, It sucks to stretch them. Oh well, thanks. Thread can be locked I guess...

You wouldn't need to stretch the images, besides, even if you could change the aspect ratio, you wouldn't be gaining any width, you'd just lose the height of the image.
If you're set on wanting them to be 16:9, you can use Picasa - which is free, and they have a tool for cropping images to that size.
