^^^ they are working on it i believe It was about this same time last year we heard about that. WWE said they were looking for physical locations in the Northeast or in Florida that could work for the Hall of Fame. However, I'm pretty sure that article said they wanted to start building in 2012. Not saying it won't still happen, but I think last time we heard any information on it was a year ago. Seems like such a no brainer and they could probably even operate it as a not for profit. I would 100% make the trip to go see something like that personally. I think they've had their fingers burnt by the ventures like WWF New York failing and losing money. They can't rely on the few hundred (or maybe a couple thousand) wrestling fans a year who would make a trip especially to see something like this, they need it to be feasible to attract lots of passing trade. Which basically means putting it in a tourist location, and those kind of spots would be pricey. The restaurant in Times Square was a flop, and that was when wrestling was way hotter than it is now.

I remember CM Punk posting pictures on twitter when he went there sometime last year. EVERY single sledgehammer that Triple H has used is in there, tagged and put in its proper place. WWE building an actual museum / HOF would be amazing and yes, I too would offer up a LARGE sum of money to hang out in there for a few hours...

i would love to vist this place or even see a video of it in detail. it is amazing all the stuff they have. i don't think a physical location would work unless they did WM there every year which is axxess basically.

I believe they were going to build a Physical Hall of Fame on International Drive in Orlando. where Race Rock used to be. I was down there and there were lots of people in WWE Shirts walking around that building, but that was in 2009, not sure what happend

Which basically means putting it in a tourist location, and those kind of spots would be pricey. The restaurant in Times Square was a flop, and that was when wrestling was way hotter than it is now. I think that is why they were looking at places in Florida, so the destination attraction. With that though, then you get into competing with said attractions like Disney, Universal, the beach depending if you go east or west to the coast. It is different than the restaurant though because the amount of money needed to maintain something like that on a daily basis would be substantially less. Once the initial costs of putting up the building and creating the experience were over then you have a fairly low maintenance operation. Probably items for the gift shop, which would honestly be seemingly low cost because they are direct to consumer from WWE and then you pay a handful or mostly minimum wage employees. The key would be to make it like the Hockey HOF imo. Make it more of an experience than anything else, that way you get casual fans who watched as a kid and now they want to take their kids or whatever. I agree WWE probably doesn't want to risk spending the money right now though. I think the WWE Studio thing really saw them piss away a ton of money. Same goes with the effort to get the Network off the ground, which I'm convinced we will never see. WWE Films, the XFL, WWE NY, they have a laundry list of failed outside ventures so I wouldn't be surprised if they proceeded on the side of caution with any type of big outside expenditure.
