1995 saw the release of the last series of WWF Hasbro figures. Assortment 7579 consisted of: Billy Gunn, Bart Gunn, the 123 Kid, Crush #3, Yokozuna #2, Adam Bomb and Ludvig Borga: A typical cardback looks like the pic below, minus the sticker from my Yokozuna pre-production sample: Next is a scan of my Crush green tag factory standard sample: Here is the info on back of the tag: Lastly is a portion of my pre-production sketch of Yokozuna: Sorry that there's not any variants to chase down in this last series or the few that preceeded it. Next up: Bagged Figures !!!

I have this whole set MOC. It is great. I am thinking about opening them, any thoughts? I purchased this from an online store about eight years ago for $200.

What was the real reasons why this was the last set? Is it true that in the US it wasn't carried in most stores?

It seemed like these were never even stores, I remember being a 14 year old kid and saving up for weeks to pay scalper prices for these figures.

This is a great set. Looking back I'm dissapointed that Hasbro did not make a new leg/boot mold for the Smoking guns...
I can't wait for your next installments..I'm very interested in hearing out the rumors Orange card series and who was supposed to be in it.
Looking and reading these threads my hate for Jakks grows fonder.

The only retail chain that ever had the Green Cards was Ames Dept. Stores. In Nj, the collectibles store I worked at, bought them direct from Hasbro a month before they were closed out at Ames.

We didn't have an Ames around us, and my parents bought me 5 from this set when they came out...

These were also sold at Hills Dept Stores via Retail. Karma for me!

I remember I bought the entire series, MOC for $100.00 shipped and was so excited when it came. This series was bitter sweet because it was such an awesome set for me, but it was the final series of WWF Hasbros ever.
I was really hoping for the orange card set to be released but it never made it past the design stage.

Hey Hasbromaniac, after I got done taking that picture of the whole set, I looked on the back of The 1-2-3 Kid's carding and noticed something a bit interesting that the rest of the green carded figures did not have. For some reason or another, Hasbro or another division of Hasbro covered up the checklist part with a sticker and they also covered up the U.P.C. bar code with a sticker as well. I was just wondering if your 1-2-3 Kid was the same or maybe I've got a variant of some sort, but I just thought I'd point that out to you. I have included a pic of it right here. Enjoy.

Great memories from that era mate! I love this series- the Ludvig is an awesome figure and the artwork on Bomb is superb.
Excellent!

It always annoyed me how Bart Gunn came with a vest and Billy didn't.
