I have a USB drive that I store all my photos and work resume on. Its randomly stopped working. When I plug it into my computer it says that windows cannot recognize the device. However, I can put in another USB drive or my wireless mouse and it the computer recognizes it. Im under the assumption now that its the USB drive thats actually bad and nothing to do with my computer. However, I really need to get the files off that USB drive and put on a new USB drive.
Is this possible to retrieve the files from a friend USB drive? How would I go about doing that with my computer (Running Windows 7 btw) not being able to recognize the USB drive?
Nevermind, I kept fiddling with it long enough that it finally worked. I quickly grabbed the files off of it and saved them to multiple Flash Drives.
