11th phone (got it yesterday) Motorola RAZR MAXX EDIT: Dr. Hulk, if you read this, I'd love to know your opinion on this phone. This is my first android phone, so I'm totally new to this. If you are going to get a Droid I think the Maxx is the best. It has 4g, dual core processor and the best battery life of any smartphone period. The screen isn't as sharp as some and for me the screen is too big but thats personal preference.

I'm pretty much just asking people's opinion on this because I don't know much about phones running Android.

The battery life is probably the best when it comes to the more recent Android phones.

Jimmy III Tears, Why so many phones this year? Well I got the S2 to replace my failing iPhone 3GS, ans was fine using that. I got laid off from my job so I had to shut my line down. Then a line opened up on the plan that my fiancée has with her friend. So I jumped on that, using her old phone - the Atrix 4G since she had my S2. Then that phone crapped out. It stopped working altogether. It happened that the line was upgrade eligible so I used the upgrade and got the Atrix 2. My fiancée then recently upgraded her own line and got the Galaxy S3, so I got my S2 back.

I have verizon and I got my first cell phone in 2007. It was an orange enV. I loveeddd that phone so much! A very durable phone that stood the test of time, however the battery was bad. :/ After two years of that, I upgraded to the enV touch. The phone was alright. Texting was a breeeeze with the big keyboard, but it wasn't a smartphone, so looking up something on the internet was teeedious. Still a good phone. After a year, I gave my sister my env touch for her env 2. i did this with good intentions. I figured she used her phone more than me, so she might like the newer phone. Her phone was in poor aesthetic condition, but she didn't tell me that her phone was a glitched out mess. I couldn't even text with the phone, because if I sent a text, the phone would turn off and the text wouldn't send. A useless, useless phone. In August of 2010 I upgraded to the Droid X. This thing was a beast! It was love at first sight. The beautiful screen, web browsing, texting, calls. It was the best phone I ever had. Then the update to Froyo came and it really seemed to lag down the phone which was as fluid as can be with 2.1. Some early problems with the phone included weird battery draining and the fact that I couldn't add my music to the phone because it wouldn't recognize it. After a few drops, the phone developed these bubbles of dead pixels on the inside. I loved that original DX I didn't want to upgrade to a new phone, but my dad let me get a new phone in 2011. I was debating between an iphone 4 and a HTC Thunderbolt. I hated the thunderbolt when i saw my friend using it. I was going to get the iphone 4, however, due to the trends at the time, it looked like the 5 would be coming out in a month or two, so an iphone might be pointless. The thunderbolt caught my eye when I started using it in the store. Biggest mistake ever. The 4g speeds are what got me. I bought an extended battery and was on my way. The iphone 5 or 4s didn't come until much later than anticipated, and it was just a speed increase. But I disliked Sense and the screen and the huge hump I had to keep in otherwise it would die. I was just never in love with it and eventually one day, after a really bad day, I just chucked the damn thing and the screen cracked. It worked for a few more days before the screen finally shut down completely. Also, forgot to mention, at the time, verizon offered unlimited 4g, and I wanted to be grandfathered in to unlimited 4g. Well, anybody who is with verizon knows how that turns out, if you own a verizon 4g phone. Grrrr, stupid share everything plans suckkkk. My college wifi is really bad, and thus I was relying on 4g for a lot of web browsing when I had the thunderbolt. I tried doing that with my GS3 and it ate through the data like a tapeworm. :/ I should have went with the iphone over the thunderbolt. My mom upgraded to the 4s, I took her droid x. Unfortunately, her X had some serious issues. it was definitely a lemon, as compared to my X which was awesome. We sent it in and were given a brand new X2. My god, this phone was terrribleeeeeeeeee. The pentile screen, the laggggyyyyyyyyy software, the bugss, it was just a terrible terrible phone. And I know I am not alone, because most people I spoke to had the same issues. After a miserable time with this phone, I upgraded to a blue Galaxy S3. I really enjoyed my time with this phone. But something hit me, I am going to have to spend two years with this device, and I am just not in love. So I realized this, and realized that this would be my only opportunity to change devices in 2 years. So I put it on Ebay and got $490 for it. So now, I am using an original droid incredible, while I wait a little while to get the remaining amount of money to pay for an iphone 5 full price. It won't be long, I haven't been in a rush to go out and get it, but I want it because I know it is a device that I could two years with and be happy. Current phone: Very near future phone:

11th phone (got it yesterday) Motorola RAZR MAXX EDIT: Dr. Hulk, if you read this, I'd love to know your opinion on this phone. This is my first android phone, so I'm totally new to this. Bad timing. And I'm not dissing the phone btw. The razor maxx is a great android phone. But the maxx hd is coming out this month and you probably paid $199 for this phone which is outdated. And I know Android gets old fast, but this has a year old hardware and you paid the same price that it will probably cost to get the new razor coming out. If you're still within 14 days you can take it back to verizon, i think. Not 100% sure. Here they are. The HD's price is the same as the year old phone you just bought. The battery is still MONSTROUS too. Sure, it's not 3300, but 2500 is still wellll enough to use for at least a day. Either way, as this is probably your first smart phone, you'll enjoy. I'm not trying to be a jerk, just saying that if you want your money's worth, then if you still have time, take it back and say you want the HD. www.phonedog.com/2012/10/11/motorola-droid-razr-hd-droid-razr-maxx-hd-landing-at-verizon-on-october-18/

There's no Verizon here. This phone, along with the Galaxy S3 and the HTC One V, are pretty much the newest phones we have.
