Excellent work Bandy. Glad to hear you got into that era. That was one of the best streaks a company/brand has had since I've been watching back in 84. Fondly remembered and glad to see you caved to the "peer pressure" and added Chavo ;-)

I definitely think Lesnar before Chavo when I think about the big time players at that time, but I definitely dig the work you did here. Only thing that could help is if Eddie's boot were a better color, but that obviously isn't your fault.

I always considered it like Smackdown! featuring Brock Lesnar and The Smackdown Six. Brock was clearly the man at that time, but you can't have your world champion in epic 5-star matches every week so they were the perfect stage-setters for everything in Smackdown while Brock demolished all of his challengers.

Loving your collection Bandy. Are you ever going to start a RAW version from the same era?

Loving your collection Bandy. Are you ever going to start a RAW version from the same era? I doubt it, wasn't a big WWE fan to begin with and the RAW roster had Evolution, Goldie & Booker, Kane, and that's about all I remember. Wasn't really impressed with the quality of matches when compared to the 5-stars on SD! And yeah JKLMD2002 I had to eventually cave and get a Chavo and Rey heh - at least my Smackdown Six is complete, I'll be waiting forever for a complete 4 Horsemen or Dangerous Alliance!

After some eBay hunting, I was able to find a Trent Baretta for a reasonable price. His skin tone is oh-so slightly off from the Volkoff body you recommended, but I'm pretty happy with no extra effort beyond slicing some of the hair off.
Tomorrow gonna paint the hair brown and start the red/white two-tone tights he had to compliment Arn. The real trick is figuring out where I'm getting another pair of red and white boots. But I definitely recommend giving it a shot. We're NEVER getting Larry Z and this'll get me 3/5 of the way done.

Introducing my latest fix-up project: "Dr. Death" Steve Williams! Recipe: Head: Basic red Brodus Clay (serious scan) + Kerry Von Erich wig Torso: E19 Brock Lesnar (tats acetoned off) Arms: Hillbilly Jim Trunks: E16 Ezekiel Jackson (designs acetoned off) Legs: Hillbilly Jim Calves: generic short calves for tall boots Knee pads: generic medium sized red ones with some white wraps Boots: nWo Macho Man tall white boots - yup a good fix-up is anywhere in the $60-$80 range This was my first attempt: But when I did it I immediately thought Brock's torso would be better, someone on the fix-up thread confirmed the same recipe (sorry man forgot your name!) and gave me the idea to use Hillbilly Jim for the appendages. Big credit to Apoc for the head idea, pop88 for the wig, and Dean the Machine for helping me with the boot decals. All from this reference pic: Anyways, here's a couple more of Dr. Death and Co.

Great work as always my friend.

Thanks guys! I wasn't sure about the Brock torso on paper but it looks awesome. Great work as always my friend. No doubt the torso is muscular, but it's also the widest torso out there and Steve Williams was a pretty wide/square-shaped guy. With the parts available, I felt this was the best selection, at least better than the first torso I used (Volkoff). So far Brock's torso has come in useful for his Flashback (of course), that awesome Bruno Sammartino someone did a while ago, and (i think) for Dr. Death.

Dr Death looks great. Also do you want me to continue to look for that Sting? Or do you have it coming now?

Very cool figure, expensive but cool. You are right though, a great custom will usually come at a heavy price. Nice work Bandy.

That's AMAZING!!
Dr, Death is easily in my top 5 guys I want Mattel to do and if they never get to him, I'm completely stealing this. That looks just perfect.

Doc was my favorite wrestler back in the mid-late 80s and that is an awesome plastic version of him. Great work!
