Played the demo today. Some really neat little features (can determine the weather by kick-off time and season, matchday player ratings) but the gameplay seems exactly the same as Fifa 12 (which I don't have a problem with, as I thought Fifa 12 was the best one ever).

I won't be downloading the demo, last time I did - my excitement for the actual game plummeted. As expected though, the most complained about feature I've seen is the first touch control though lol. Also, I see the Turkish league has been removed again

Apparently there is no Nou Camp on FIFA 13. What an absolute joke.
Still waiting for PSN to upload the Demo.

They seem to have made lots of little additions that add to the game such as players warming up on the side, camera men on pitch for beginning, an official with board for subs. Then theres audio additions such as the man on the sidelines and the crowd roaring to life. There seems to be new animations, most notably running which does look odd. The skill games are a really nice addition and am enjoying playing them before a game. Overall seems good and all the additions listed on the demo in the different modes seems like its a good step up from 12.

Hows the first touch?

It's quite annoying. If your passing the ball across the defense (or back to the keeper), they will take a massive touch, which can often end in you giving the ball away.

Hmm. On the one hand people complained about the new defending last year and it turned out to be class. On the other a first touch isn't something you can really control like the defending. I always pass it across the defence so this could make me sh*t at FIFA

I couldn't score for love nor money on the [Fifa 12] demo, but then adapted once I got the full game and loved it. I couldn't defend for shit, but found it easier to score. All my matches would end 6-5 or something ridiculous. But yeah, I always play out of defense, so have conceeded a crapload of goals on the new demo just due to poor touches. It's also annoying if when your charing forward, one of your midfielders has a terrible touch and the ball goes out of play/to the other team.

I'm another person who likes to play the ball out and back to defense when there's nothing on up top. I could defend very well last year but since I wasn't great at attacking (the game doesn't seem to reward a well thought out build up play) most of my head to head matches would be tight low scoring affairs. The first touch thing will just be something else we'll eventually learn to work with (I've not played the demo as I prefer to wait for the game's release.)

I like it, makes it abit harder. Some of the touches are awful, like with Arsenal I pinged in a pass inside fast and it popped up in the air. But overall I think a nice addition. Getting more into the skill games now, the chip shot one and the crossing into the bins are addictive. Wondering if theres any more I haven't played. Borussia Dortmund are the team to be: Lewandowski, Reus, Gotze, Blaz and a great defense.

Ehhh its pretty decent fair play. The skill games are a nice little addition. I'll get the game for sure, doubt I will on release day like the past few years though.

Downloaded the demo for PS3 and played a few games tonight.
First impressions: graphics have been improved, game feels more fluid. First touch makes it more realistic but also can be annoying when the ball pings off somewhere. Some nice extra touches pre-game with the coin toss and handshake. Also in game player profile photos appear and the commentators will discuss the player. Touchline injury updates also let you know whether your guy is really injured or not.
Defending felt a little sluggish for some reason - the CPU had a far better and quicker reaction to loose balls. It also doesn't seem to register straight away when I wanted to change player so would tend to lose my man quite a bit, or when I put a cross in that hit the bar and looped up into the penalty area, it auto-selected a player on the edge of the box away from the ball and by the time I switched to a player in the area it was too late and CPU cleared.
Few minor annoyances which are hopefully sorted in the final game, or can be amended in the game options, but on the whole its looking good. I will be buying this. Will probably get the standard version, spent far too much time on UT in previous FIFAs that I would rather avoid it this time around and focus on the improved career mode.

The presentation feels better (although it was still great last year). The skill games are a nice touch. Improvements to first touch and player impact make it more realistic, but also seem to mean that there will be more unfair/unlucky goals. I'll reserve judgement until I get into the actual game, as this time last year I was unsure about 12's class defending.

Like everyone else I'm loving the skill games before the game loads - nice touch. Gameplay feels a little slow and I'm still not a big fan of the new defending system that was introduced last year and still appears to be in this game, hopefully there is the option to turn it off and switch back to the old defending system on this game like there was on FIFA 12.

Slightly improved on FIFA 12 but my god what a difference! This will have me captivated for about a month. Bye bye sunlight! I hope it doesn't change too much from the demo but I can't wait to get Hayes and Fraser controlling the wings!
COYR!
EDIT: It looks like The rangers Football Club will be in the Rest of the World section. I thought I heard the license had ran past the deadline for new clubs and as rangers Football Club (R.I.P) cease to be they weren't going to be in it.
Och well, bring on the friendlies!
