My guess is that that is creative's easy way of keeping the feud going, with AJ making the cover without truly siding with one or the other. But her affecting what Punk & Bryan were going to during the match but not the finish just exemplified her confusion over this WTF triangle. The finish allows them to further go into this feud/storyline, no matter how convoluted it becomes...not that it didn't already with the proposals on the last Raw. (seriously...what the were they thinking?)
