The merging of both brands was the dumbest move Vince ever made. What he should have done, is kept WCW its own brand. Even kept his purchase on the downlow if possible. Then twice a year or so... have a massive PPV pitting WCW against WWF.
The "gimmick" would have never gotten old.

I would say many of the stars of TNA would probably be headlining or on their way to retiring - Sting, Jarrett, Angle, Dudley boys, AJ, Scott Steiner, and others. But impossible to know.
It amazes not why the company went under but how quickly its downfall was. In 1996 -1998 they were HOT. Everything they touched turn to gold. By 1999/2000 everythign they touched turned to sh*t.

the TNA answers are indeed quite valid considering that in WCW 2001 you had Vince Russo, Jeff Jarrett, AJ Styles, Chris Daniels, Sting, all guys that would play key roles in TNA in the years to come.

I think the NWO would be making it's 57th return though if WCW was still around. I could see it now....
The scene is at DDP's yoga place, and he has a bunch of the young WCW stars (who are actually just the same young WCW stars from 2000 still being called "young up and comers" are all doing the yoga and such, when in walks Hogan with Bagwell, Steiner, Nash, Bischoff and the latest NWO member.... Lex Luger!! Luger once again has turned on WCW and went with the NWO at the age of 94 or however old he is now.
So they attack DDP and lay him out, and spray paint "NWO" on his back, and destroy his place.
While this is going on, Tenay and Schiavone are hyping the next match between two new comers to WCW, the former Samoa Joe (who is now known as Cruiserweight Joe) vs. Air Styles.
While the match is going on, they would still go back to footage of what's happening at DDP's yoga place, when luckily, Sting would come down from up top of DDP's building and help clear out the NWO.
That right there, is a good visual of how WCW would be right now, if it was still happening.

i know that a lot of people would doubt this, but billy kidman. he was heading that way (it was far too late and too big of a jump with the hogan feud), and if they'd built him properly like i feel they would have had it not gone under, he'd be on or near the top, and mysterio/kidman would be a classic feud.
then again, that's pretty imaginative. but the filthy animals were RIDICULOUSLY over.
i also feel that raven, had he stayed, could've become a top main event heel. but size truly mattered in wcw so i doubt any of my predictions really would've came to fruition.

It would have gotten very old when you would have a match pitting Team WWF of Austin, Rock, Taker and Kane vs Team WCW of Chuck Palumbo, Shawn what's his name, Booker T and a WCW Mid Carder to be named later. What killed any chance of WCW being run successfully as a separate company is that it didnt come with any big names outside of Booker. Guys like Steiner, DDP, Flair etc all came after the Invasion.

Ddp took the buyout like booker and buff and debuted before invasion. I think that there would be several new stars, and a few old ones. I suspect hogan wouldn't be wrestling (just like now), Goldberg would have walked. I suspect that soe other wwf stars would have moved to wcw and vice versa. I would hope that guys like ddp and lance storm would be top stars and been better treated than they were in the wwf/e

WCW 2012 Roster:
Mainevent: Booker T Sting Ken Anderson Kurt Angle (assuming he would of jumped/moved) Wade Barrett Crimson Jeff Jarrett Matt Morgan Jeff Hardy Chris Jericho John Morrison Rey Mysterio Austin Aries
Mid-Card: Tyson Kidd David Hart Smith Zack Ryder Curt Hawkins Luke Gallows Tyler Reks Matt Hardy Eric Young AJ Styles Bobby Roode Samoa Joe
Tag Team: Team 3D Original LAX with Konnan Brisco Brothers WGTT ( I think Shelton would moon light in the mid card) MCMG BM or AMW ( I don't know how it would of played out)
Cruiser Weight: Chavo Shannon Moore Joey Ryan ( I can see him in WCW for some reason) CMLL Talent (various stars) Amazing Red Paul London Brian Kendrick Roderick Strong Miscito Hunico (with Lucha Gimmick)
I also think Alberto Del Rio would of appeared in WCW before WWE. The Champions I'd imagine Booker T would of held it for a while before dropping to someone like John Morrison.
Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner, Scott Hall would all appear from time to time along with Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff. I think Ric Flair would be the on screen person "in charge" I also think Goldberg would appear so often maybe for big events like Starrcade. The divas would more than likely be call ups from Shimmer.

That's a pretty solid list but no way in hell would Jericho have gone back to WCW. Also I wouldnt be surprised if Rey didnt jump to WWE anyway. Especially after the pushes Benoit, Guerrero, and Malenko got.
