This question covers everything I want to know -
Will Mattel be continuing the same lines as Jakks started (like when Hasbro took over with Marvel Legends) or will Mattel have a completely new outlook/style of WWE figures?

1) What are you going to prioritize when first getting hold of the WWE license.
Obviously people are looking for a lot of stuff that cant be done at once. Will you be making six or so main eventers and distributing these in a series to see how sales go, or will you be jumping in the deep end and releasing as much as possible as soon as possible (Such as a playset, a figure series, and other random WWE merchandise).
2) With the WWE license, will Mattel now also be producing WWE TV games, electronic toys, etc. or is the license only in relation to the Action figure segment of WWE's merchandise?

Alright guys, I got all the questions organized and did some modifying to them, Now they are all ready. Anymore questions for the chat keep posting!! Here you go-
- Are you planning on using body scans similar to Jakks figures?
- Do you plan on making new headscans for the figures often?
- Do you plan on making the figures the same scale, meaning, Will they be the same or a similar height to Jakks' figures?
- How often can we expect new series to be released?
- What kind of accessories are we likely to get? Lead pipes and microphones or tables and ladders?
- When might we get our first glimpse of what the figures are likely to look like?
- What is the target suggested retail price, If you have one yet?
- Are you going to use any kind of real scan technology or purely hand sculpted?
- Any chance of a Classics or Legends line?
- Will we get an extra line for smaller scale figures?
- Will you make the figures more realistic? Meaning body molds being more realistic to the actual wrestlers?
- Will you be using real scan technology or will you be sculpting or some other type of 3D rendering?
- How quickly do you expect new series to be distributed? Jakks usually has a new series at least once a month. Will you be that often, less often or more often?
- Will there be multiple series like RA, DA, AD, CS, Ring Rage, etc? Or will Mattel look to cut back on the number of re releases?
- Do you plan on making divas? How about managers? Will you aim towards getting a complete line of figures, including all members of the roster?
- Do you plan on starting a friendly relationship with the consumer? Meaning, Will you be more open and take suggestions from the consumer?
- Will you try and make new figures every series, instead of releasing multiples of each character?
- Any ideas on making playsets? Meaning, Wrestling rings, Backstage sets, etc.
- Will you produce the figures in a characteristic and cartooney way for the younger based buyer, or pay attention to accuracy, scale and detail for the mature collector?
- How far ahead will the UK Retail Release Date be after the US?
- Any chance at seeing painted championship bels painted in regular sets?
- Will Mattel be continuing the same lines as Jakks started (like when Hasbro took over with Marvel Legends) or will Mattel have a completely new outlook/style of WWE figures?
- What are you going to prioritize when first getting hold of the WWE license?

As much as i like the thought of this chat thing (How will this be done by the way? will the questions be emailed to them and sent back with answers on the 19th, or will it be MSN-ish like the last chat jakks had, or an video interview Q+A or what?) Anyway, as i was saying, As cool as it is of Mattel to do this, I can pretty much answer all 90% of the questions asked before they're asked. Alright guys, I got all the questions organized and did some modifying to them, Now they are all ready. Anymore questions for the chat keep posting!! Here you go- - Are you planning on using body scans similar to Jakks figures? "Well, We'll try to model some after the actual wrestlers, so a similarity is unavoidable, really."- Do you plan on making new headscans for the figures often? I guess this would depend on the person we are modelling. If major changes are made to his or her appearance, then yes.- Do you plan on making the figures the same scale, meaning, Will they be the same or a similar height to Jakks' figures? (I think this was already answered before) "We know that with most action figures, the general popular choice is the 6" action figure, we assume this will remain the same."- How often can we expect new series to be released? We currently dont have any roll out strategy devised.- What kind of accessories are we likely to get? Lead pipes and microphones or tables and ladders? Again, we don't really know. We hope to have the accessories as character based as possible- When might we get our first glimpse of what the figures are likely to look like? Well we haven't started to design any just yet, which is why we're asking you all here... at wrestlingfigs.com! *hokey thumbs up* - What is the target suggested retail price, If you have one yet? Whilst we can#t be sure, we aim to be as competitive as possible with Jakks current prices- Are you going to use any kind of real scan technology or purely hand sculpted? This is one of the questions i dont know the answer to- Any chance of a Classics or Legends line? Again, we havent got anything like that planned. We're gonna work on making some current wrestlers, and try to start in a principle area, to ensure customer satisfaction, before planning any gimmicked lines.- Will we get an extra line for smaller scale figures? We will likely be making WWE figures in numerous different scales- Will you make the figures more realistic? Meaning body molds being more realistic to the actual wrestlers? We hope to be as accurate as we can- Will you be using real scan technology or will you be sculpting or some other type of 3D rendering?
NOTE, This is already asked above- How quickly do you expect new series to be distributed? Jakks usually has a new series at least once a month. Will you be that often, less often or more often?
NOTE, This is already asked above- Will there be multiple series like RA, DA, AD, CS, Ring Rage, etc? Or will Mattel look to cut back on the number of re releases? We really can't be sure yet what we are going to be doing in that area, but we imagine twin packs would be a very likely line to co-exist with a singles line- Do you plan on making divas? How about managers? Will you aim towards getting a complete line of figures, including all members of the roster? We hope to have a very complete roster to mirror that of WWE's, so yes.- Do you plan on starting a friendly relationship with the consumer? Meaning, Will you be more open and take suggestions from the consumer? Well we're doing this chat. what more do you want? selfish prick. (im joking)
"yes, we hope to have a strong consumer relation" - Will you try and make new figures every series, instead of releasing multiples of each character? I think that would depend. If certain wrestlers are more popular at selling than others, we will have to release them more often to ensure we continue to get retail shelf space.- Any ideas on making playsets? Meaning, Wrestling rings, Backstage sets, etc. Whats a wrestling ring? (joking again)
Yes. At some point we plan to make play areas.- Will you produce the figures in a characteristic and cartooney way for the younger based buyer, or pay attention to accuracy, scale and detail for the mature collector? a question I cant answer. i'd hope they go with both. Jakks' Vinyl Aggression look awesome!- How far ahead will the UK Retail Release Date be after the US? That would heavily depend on distributors.- Any chance at seeing painted championship belts painted in regular sets? we cant be certain at this time, but we would hope to be able to do such a thing- Will Mattel be continuing the same lines as Jakks started (like when Hasbro took over with Marvel Legends) or will Mattel have a completely new outlook/style of WWE figures? we'll keep our main line based on a the popular 6 inch format. Aside from that we dont really know how similar our product will be- What are you going to prioritize when first getting hold of the WWE license? I dont know the answer to this, and as much as id love an answer, i dont think they'll know the answer either. its a very broad questionObviously people are looking for a lot of stuff that cant be done at once. Will you be making six or so main eventers and distributing these in a series to see how sales go, or will you be jumping in the deep end and releasing as much as possible as soon as possible (Such as a playset, a figure series, and other random WWE merchandise). again, i dont know this, but will be curious. they'll have to be careful they dont over-saturate stores, yet not leave people starved of stuff- With the WWE license, will Mattel now also be producing WWE TV games, electronic toys, etc. or is the license only in relation to the Action figure segment of WWE's merchandise? again i dont know, but would be curious.- Will the figures have nice full paint jobs instead of lacking major details? we'll cut every corner. (seriously, Johnny, i think this was a sarcastc question. Can you really see any company saying "oh if we can get away with corner cutting, we will". - Will the figures be sold in major stores? ( Walmart, Toys R Us, Kmart, Target? etc.) We will try to have shelf space in all major national, and international, retail stores.- Will the prices be reasonable?
NOTE: This was already asked above.Well.. those are my predictions...

Would you be interested in doing brand-specific sets in order to fully satisfy customers by providing them with an entire roster of stars?

Heres a heck of a question.......
Is there any plans for Mattel to possibly buy out the Jakks classic superstars contracts and continue the classic line? Maybe just the contracts of stars that dont get a figure released (if any)
