In your own opinion, what is the best feud of 1997?
I would have to say it's easily Austin Vs. The Hart Foundation
Bret and Austin really made you feel they hated each other. They worked so well together. I can remember re-watching episodes of Raw during that time period multiple times over, just cause it was so entertaining.

Id go with Hart vs The US aswell. Bret pulled off that role SO WELL and it was cool how in Canada the guy was still the top babyface.

The Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold feud got me into wrestling. The first night I watched Raw was in February 1997 where Stone Cold cost Bret Hart the WWF Championship against Sycho Sid.
Best feud of all time, in my opinion. I want a Greatest Rivalries: Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold blu-ray.
However, the Bret Hart vs. America stuff was just so well done and so unique. Nothing else like it has really been done before or since. So good. Bret never gets credit for being a good promo man which is totally unfair. In 1997 Bret Hart was easily the best guy on the mic in the entire business.

Austin vs. Bret pretty much turned into USA vs Canada, so it definitely takes the cake for me as well.
I also really liked Sting vs Hogan/nWo, even though the payoff was brutally terrible.

Nothing tops Bret Harts feud against America, Austin and HBK a storyline so well crafted and executed, it can never be duplicated

Austin vs The Hart Foundation hands down.its what pulled me back in properly.the nWo stuff had got me back but it was Austins persona that got me back 100%
Sting vs the nWo was also great but its end at Starrcade 97 sours that incredible run in terribly for me.

Not to echo the sentiments already expressed here, but it's Bret/The Hart Foundation/Canada vs. Austin/the U.S.A.
Those crowds were so insanely hot. The early days of the Attitude era. A fondly remembered time to be a viewer, for sure.
