*Dutt picks up a mic before the match begins*
Well, I thought for a long time about whether to hand in an animation or not after the course of events over the past few days. Out of anger, I chose not to make a new animation for this payperview, but I promised Angus that I’d make this last match something meaningful. Seeing as I know how much he loves the concept and loved being a member of the aWo, I chose to hand-in the animation from when Angus and I along with Stevo, Tasker and Ben took on D-Generation X in the largest tag team match of all time to decide which stable was truly the most dominant of all time. Alas, we were the winners, and it is a moment that I will cherish forever.
Sometimes, I feel like my career or my so-called legacy is now an afterthought or a disappointment. Although, it isn't the end of the world that I didn't make the HOF for the second year in a row and the window for my induction is now minimal, I'd like to think it's a good thing as it ensures that this is indeed the last of Duttanized. I don't blame myself for what has happened or why I'm leaving but rather those of the board that think that I'm not deserving, you've kept me away from my glory, my legacy is now forever in limbo. To those people, an 18 time champion, a leader of the greatest faction the board's ever seen, the most innovative payperview host of all time, the creator of Animation Weekly Magazine,...and many other things that I could list forever are not large enough contributions to this board to be granted access into the Hall of Fame. What's done is done, I am now an afterthought to this board, and quite frankly, this board is now an afterthought to me.
They say when something or someone dies, the relationships and memories keep it alive forever. For this reason, there are many people, dare I saw friends on this board that I will always respect because of the way that they have treated me over the past six years that I have been a part of the board. I would now like to acknowledge those individuals. For the safety of the reader, this is when this post gets really ridiculously long, so go ahead and hit control + F and find your name if your too lazy to read through the whole thing. Keep in mind that I'm really just listing people off the top of my head so this is no particular order except for the top three.
1) Angus- jeez man what can I say? You've been my best friend, my adversary, my teammate. For years you were the unsung hero of the aWo, sometimes lost in the shuffle between the other big names in our famed faction, and then I watched as you blossomed into the great animator that you are today. I remember when me and Rob beat you and Swanton for the Tag Titles and how nervous I was as you really started showing shades of the animator you are today around that time. You’ve always supported as I have always supported you, I feel bad that I wasn’t able to make an animation for the match I knew that meant a lot to you but I tried to make it up in as best a possible way as I could. I always talk about how I was skipped on to be a mod on this board, but for once, I’m happy you got the spot, because you really, really are very dedicated to this board and by far the most deserving today. I have no doubt that you will be one of the greatest this boards ever seen as your acumen speaks for itself. I’m going to miss you when I leave, but the unbelievable memories that we’ve had together are something that I will cherish forever. Thanks for being and becoming my best friend on this board. <3
2) Scott- Haha I’m not really sure what to say here, but I really have always thought you as my little brother. I can’t remember a single time when you’ve really pissed me off to this point, you’re a genuine kind-hearted guy. It endears me that you have changed your display name to pay homage to me. It’s funny because I’m the guy that’s usually known for keeping the past alive but now that I’m leaving, your making my name alive and sort of taking over that role for me. You’re a great friend among all things, but also a creative and talented animator who I think still has all the tools and potential to become a World Heavyweight Champion in the future, with or without the Money in the Bank briefcase in your possession. A solid Main Eventer is what you are now, I feel awkward that I’ll probably miss your true moment when you become the best that this board has to offer. I’ll always remember how we were really the only two fans of TNA or Impact Wrestling in the Skype conversations. Man, I’m going to miss you but somehow I know we’ll always be great friends and somehow always keep in touch.
3) Rob- The man, I know I’ve said a lot of things to you in the past few days, but the way you’ve talked to me back will always make me remember how much I respect you as a human being. Your compassion for the world of wrestling figure animation is unmatched, on this board, on YouTube, or anywhere else really. I remember thinking that you were just a sub-greedy noob on YouTube when you were making your first few episodes of Top 5 on YouTube but man was I dead wrong. Simply talking to you, made me realize how cool you are. I genuinely think you have a really bright future on this board, and that you’re probably the next great mid-card sensation to get into the main event scene on WFigs. Just remember one thing, don’t let your victories go to your head and don’t let your failures go to your heart. Last but not least, I’ll always remember you as the guy who really pushed me to make this speech and end of on this board on a positive note. I’m going to miss you kid.
Now onto everyone else I can think of as of this moment.
Andeh – The only person, that I think of that really never got the spotlight that he deserved on this website, a genuinely great guy who was dedicated to the board but left after continual anger towards the noobs on this board. I don’t know if you’ll ever read this but I’ll never forget our moments on MW2 man. You smoke kerosene? LOL
Arrow – Truly, someone who shows what adherence and perseverance can do. I remember bashing you continuously when you were a noob over your love for Zack Ryder. Sure enough though, you were right about Long Island Iced Z. I’m going to miss our skype conversations and you being jealous of my Elite 13 Ziggler and Rhodes figures.
Ben- One hell of an animator and one hell of a great guy. Shame that you lost a lot of your old animations, I know how you feel, but I’ll always remember you as one of the guys that helped aWo take down D-X.
Blake- Super Khali and Umaga, TTF4everama, is there anything much more to say. Some of the moments that I’ll never forget are your blogs either. Just great stuff mate.
Deadbones – Perhaps one of the only guys I’ll ever remember who left the boards on top of his game and fell of the map. Another great member of the aWo, I always remember our shared interest in figures and teaming up at the World Cup as part of Team Canada.
Chase – Hilarious personality even though you’re not an animator, you really add another dimension to the Skype conversations.
Walker – The second last member to join the aWo, the last member of our epic MW2 and black ops ventures on XBL. I’ll always remember you having crapty connections most nights, and you milking cows, which I guess is forever immortalized in my Rhyno entrance vid.
Will – The hacker, definitely a chill guy and very misunderstood.
Wes – Although not everyone likes this guy, he is a really solid member of the WF crew now and just not as bad of a guy as everyone makes him out to be.
Rob – Forever will remember you as the other guy who really helped rebuild this board and the first huge piece to the aWo. I really missed you when you first left but over time I got used to it and I’m happy we got to keep in touch, I mean after all we were tag champs in a past lifetime.
Stevo- The best animator of all time, nothing more can be said. Always a dependable animator for when I needed help in the aWo and the member that really put us over the top as a faction. I remember you as the only other guy who really started around the same time as I did and your ability to animate is amazing.
Jordan – Quite possibly the only guy who I can think of who can be considered an absolute freak of nature in terms of fluidity in your animations. I’m sad to see you leave the pay per view scene but you definitely earned that World Heavyweight Championship Title. Can’t wait for JWS episodes.
Ross – That’s my boy yo, the guy I retired around this time a year ago, I’ll always be honoured to be the chosen one as your opponent in your last match. I remember you joined the aWo but you always quietly went about your business and respected every single member of the board. I miss you buddy.
Jesse- Another great animator, although you’ve taken a step back lately, one of the great mid-card guys around today. Playing Halo with you was always a pleasure, I can still never figure out how your so good at that game. Screamtage is also one of the greatest things anyone’s ever shown me.
Myyqee – The Mexican aristocrat of the board. Every single time we’ve talked it’s been amazing, and you really are a great animator. I hope you win the title at Mania, you deserve it. You left a huge void on the animation board when you left and I was overjoyed when you came back, that said, please bring back the six-sided ring, that thing was your swag man.
Mike – I’m still waiting for that match you said you were going to make instead of reposting that Chris Jericho animation a million times. Although, I do remember when you cried when I almost got a pay per view cancelled, and that one time when you taped a moustache and pretended you were Chavo Guerrero only to pull it off and agonize in your lost upper lip hair. LOL
Emin3m(Josh) – One of my favourite guys to talk to back in the day and the guy who really brought lighttubes and fire back to the board. Great animator, Great guy!
Spence – Another great guy from when I was younger and I always wondered why he left all of a sudden even though I knew he had some health issues. Wonder where he is now.
Tasker (Josh) – Another guy in the aWo who really helped beat D-X. Cool guy, although your choice of interests baffled me when you left.
CarltonFan2010 (Josh) – Another solidified mid-carder at this point and a great animator. Oh, and he’s a ginger, jk. Nice guy man and another WF guy whose earned his stripes.
Josh W. – Might be a bit older than everyone else, but fits in and is one funny dude.
GLegend – Man get yo ass on a prominent run on WF. Your animations are cool man, one of the few guys who really innovates in his animations.
Fave – Yet another solid animator on WF whose really a big WF guy now. I know he’s on he’s not as passionate about it as he used to be but I really feel like he’s close to being in that elite group of animators on this board. I’m also jealous of the amount of elites he has.
RyRy- Where’d you go, your sporadic appearances are cool but man you were about to be a solid mid-carder and then you got lost in the shuffle. Cool guy, oh he’s a ladies man too btw.
EAW – I can’t believe you retired, you were a good animator and a nice guy. Didn’t know you but you were a solid dedicated WF kid.
Jack of Jacks – Much like EAW can’t believe your leaving, good animator with exceptional potential IMO. Hope you have fun in whatever you pursue.
Audie – Oh god this is going to be a hard one to talk about. First of all, I’m still pissed I never got to be mod, but you made that less painful over time as your mod run was amazing. Also I remember I brought you back to WF after got banned the first time. I hope things work out for you in life and you can get back to pumping out animations at the pace you were in 2009.
Evan – My favourite older animator to talk to you. It’s really been a pleasure to see you come back this year, all be it a brief return, but still cool to see one of my animation heroes come back and show these kids the ropes. Your animations are also amazing, one of my major inspirations of all time. BTW, Bruins suck. <3
Paul – Not much else to say rather than Great Canadian, and the first great animator I saw on WF. I know you don’t like animation as much anymore, but we all love you man. I hope you return one day, but another one of my big inspirations.
Ricky, Joshy, Ol, Bubbles, oKANEo, Dangerous Dan, SmF – All more older guys that I respect and are inspirations to the way I animate. Although I didn’t really know some of them, they’re definitely legends.
I really, really hope I didn’t miss someone, I wrecked my brain trying to remember everyone. Anyways, I’m going to miss each and every single one of you guys on WF Animation. Hate to steal from someones YouTube compilation, but you guys aren’t just good animators, your great friends also! I sort of feel like this is the end of high school or something but I guess you guys can still contact me on skype the limited times that I will be on.
Thank you for six great years of memories, although I won’t share them with my kids, great, great memories that I will always remember even when I get older.
Duttanized……
P.S. IF YAAAAAAAAA SMEELLLLLLLL WHAT THE DUTT IS COOKIN’!
