Stupid.
I hate that you can't say "The WWE" either because it makes no sense.
The World Wrestling Entertainment?
It just sounds stupid.

I wonder how different things would be if they were originally called WWE. I don't think it would have been all that different. If you look at the paperwork from back in day WWF used WWF/E and World Wrestling Federation Entertain in their copy right, I think they would have gone with the name change regardless

I wonder if WWE would be able to work out an amendment to the original agreement based on significant hardship and good behavior for the past decade. Something like "look, we changed the name of our multi-million dollar corporation and didn't utter the term "WWF" for an entire decade (except for the odd slip-up here and there by an old timer) and we incurred hundreds of thousands of dollars expense (maybe even millions) employing video editors to doctor our old footage for logos and for the thousands of times people said "WWF" on camera... we are clearly complying with the judgment. Would you mind letting us off the hook on blurring the logos in old footage, since it's... ya know... OLD footage?" I still believe a "generous" donation can end all of this, all Vince has to do is pay. Yeah, i'm pretty sure a nice donation at the time would've gone a long way. I'm sure its just Vince being stubborn. I assume they've spent more money rebranding the WWF to WWE and editing out all of the scratch logos than a large donation to the Fund. Hell, its a non-profit, they could have written off that donation. What do I know though.

Hell, releasing a complete unedited Blu-Ray WM set could pay for itself and the company's editing of the logos if Vince weren't so damn stubborn.

Looks like WWE is now blurring out the old block logo...i noticed this in the Yokozuna HOF package. Also on WWE.com they have all the promotional posters for Wrestlemania and the block logos are not present...they only have the WWE logo on 16, but not even the WWE logo on 17 and 18 like they did in the past. 14 was still using new generation logo but on the promotional photo they photo-shopped it out. www.wwe.com/classics/wrestlemania-posters-photosDoesn't look like a good sign. Pandas were probably complaining again.

Pandas were probably complaining again. Not sure about that. Shortly after the initial ruling, WWE was censoring all WWF logos. I remember the WWF logo on the turnbuckle pads blurred, for instance. It was overkill and the things they were censoring at the beginning made it unwatchable. If they go back to doing that now...it'll be a complete joke.
