I remember a brief angle where Rick Steiner was attacked by a masked man and then later it was revealed the mask man was....Rick Steiner. Go figure.

No one's mentioned the Four Horsemen running from RoboCop? Sure it wasn't Russo's fault but still pretty awful.

It's the yetay!
When wcw got it wrong, they really got it wrong. So much stuff in this thread is just so bad. Fun to read about though.

A few more I remember-
Big Bubba Rogers being allergic to Dave Sullivan's pet rabbit. He would wrestle with a dust mask on. If Dave brought the rabbit into the ring, Bubba would sneeze, cough, wheeze & start scratching himself.
Shane Douglas vs Billy Kidman in a "Viagra on a pole match".
Rick Steiner & Judy Bagwell as WCW Tag Team Champions.
The Ding Dongs.

this and Chucky...you know,i'm all for cross-promotion when it makes sense , but when you bring in Cyborgs and living, talking dolls as actual participants in wrestling angles...it just....you know,it just doesn't WORK when any sense of reality will never exist because the characters cannot exist in real life....

I wonder how much WCW paid Brad Dourif to do the Chucky bit....

This was also a favorite of mine. Bringing in Coleman for Mike Awesome's "That 70's Guy" gimmick (even though Coleman is considered more of a star of the 80s, not the 70s) and then his hat falling it, and him quickly picking it up, while trying to get the padding back in, for the guitar shot.
Then this one is an example of the announcers really not knowing what's going on. At the end when Tank pulls the knife on Big Al, it's clear that it's a knife, and I believe Tank even says, 'I can kill you Al, I can f**king kill you.' Yet Schiavone in his infinite wisdom tries to say it's a pair of scissors, and that he was trying to cut off Al's bread. Problem there is Al had a very thin mustache, no beard.
