Since this is the classic board, I figured this should be a topic. I haven't really seen it talked about on here, so I thought I would start a thread for it.
WWF Coliseum Videos!!
Everyone rented them from their video retailer many years ago, so just wondering....
What was everyone's favourite WWF Coliseum Video to rent/watch back then??
And what one did you always want to see, but never got the chance to then??
For me, the favourite one was definitely WWF's Even More Unusual Matches. That was a pretty solid tape.
For the one I always wanted to see then but never did, it was Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake's tape.
So who has some stories about WWF Coliseum Videos that they would like to share??

Most Unusual Matches was pretty cool. Featured one of the first ladder matches the WWF put on at a house show.

Most Unusual Matches was sweet. I remember buying it at Walmart just for the Bret vs. HBK ladder match. The 123 Kid vs. Razor match from Raw is okay too on it. But I could have went without the Duggan vs. HBK and the 4 Doinks vs. Bigelow's team from Survivor Series 93 on it.

"Rowdy" Roddy Piper's Greatest Hits is a sweet video!! It's 1 hour and 45 minutes long too, which was pretty uncommon for Coliseum Videos back then. The footage on it is pretty solid too.
I actually own that Coliseum Video. I got it for $1 at a video store that was closing down. It's worth it just to put on display.

Best of Saturday Night's Main Event - Awesome, just summin about the old SNME tapings I loved, they never recaptured it when SNME was brought back in 2006 Also rented Survivor Series 1990 (my 1st WWF PPV) & Summerslam 1990 loads of times too

The Saturday Night's Main Event Coliseum Videos were pretty sweet. You could tell though at the time that certain matches made the videos based on who was still with the company.
I own the Even More Saturday Night's Main Event video and it's pretty solid with a lot of solid matches from late 88 and early to mid 89 on it.

Invasion of the Body Slammers anyone? EDIT: Found a pic!

Invasion of the BodySlammers is definitely a coliseum video that goes unrecognized. The whole Repo Cam with the Repo Man is really hilarious actually. Just for how ridiculous it is.
The Kamala learning how to bowl was okay through out the tape, but Bret vs. Shawn and Perfect vs. Flair would be the reasons to get this Coliseum Video. The rest of the matches just make up for a nice video release for fans.

I use to love going to Showtime Video and finding new VHS out that I could rent. I still own Wrestlemanias 1,2,3,4,6,7 with their packages as well as 93 rumble and wm8 without.

I remember renting Wrestlemania 2, 3, 4 and 5 all the time. The only time I seen Wrestlemania 1 was this hour long Coliseum Video of it, and all the matches were chopped and the only match in it's entirety was the main event. It sucked looking back now, but at the time it was good.

Im partial to Bashed in the USA because myself, my brother, and even my MOM are featured in the crowd on it.

used to love the Super Tape releases...
early on, i used to get a lot from my local video store...the first 3 Mania's,and whatever else they got in,til we started to get PPV here ( for the first Survivor Series), then i would just see the stuff live...
what i actually remember more, ironically enough,is that this was my introduction to the NWA,and eventually WCW....i mean,i KNEW there were other wrestling federations out there, but we didn't get them here, and saw pics and results and stuff about them in PWI....Blockbuster Video was my outlet to actually SEE these matches and stars i never did before...

Invasion of the Body Slammers anyone? EDIT: Found a pic! I've got that. It's on a VHS with "Smack Em, Whack Em" and "Bashed In The USA" - "Bashed" is where I got my avatar. I think "Invasion" was also the tape where JR & Bobby Heenan had this exchange... JR - "Now tell me Brain, which one is Beau and which one is Blake [Beverly]?" Heenan - "Well, the one with the blond hair and the tooth missing, that's one of the Nasties, forget him. The guy with the long pants and the bow tie, that's the referee, forget him too. The guy that just tagged in? That's one of the Nasties, so forget that. The one in the blue is one of the Beverlys." JR - "Uh huh. And what might his first name be?" Heenan - "Mister." Macho Man - "I'm more confused than when I started."

Great thread!
I remember there were two video stores near me that had all the videos back in the day.
My all time favorite was the Demolition home video.
I also enjoyed the "Wrestling Classic". My brother owned it so it was always around. I wore that one out.

Bret was my favorite growing up so seeing him on the cover made this one a must-own. Matches include: Bret vs. Mr. Perfect ('91), LOD vs. Nasty Boys ('91), Big Boss Man vs. Mountie ('91), Mega Powers vs. Mega Bucks ('88), Hulk Hogan vs. Earthquake ('90)

I remember the ads in WWF Magazine that would ask $39.99-$59.99 for many of them, which was just crazy, so most of the time you'd have to rent them if you wanted to see them.
I own quite a few old Coliseum Videos. Just ordered a new, shrinkwrapped Rampage `91 off ebay this week. Finally found it for a decent price. Some can be found fairly cheap, while others fetch a pretty big chunk of change.
What I own: Wrestlemania I Wrestlemania II Wrestlemania III Wrestlemania IV Wrestlemania V Wrestlemania VI Wrestlemania VII Survivor Series 1987 Survivor Series 1988 Survivor Series 1989 Survivor Series 1990 (2 copies) Survivor Series 1992 Survivor Series 1993 Royal Rumble 1990 SummerSlam 1990 SummerSlam 1992 World Tour 1990 World Tour 1991 World Tour 1992 Wrestlefest 1989 Wrestlefest 1990 Wrestlefest 1991 Supertape Vol 1 Supertape Vol 2 Supertape Vol 4 Battle of the Superstars 1990 (1st) Battle of the Superstars 1991 (2nd) (2 copies) Battle of the Superstars 1992 (3rd) Fan Favorite Matches (1992) Explosive TNT Show (1986) Hottest Matches (1990) Hulkamania Forever (1990) Mega Matches (1991) The Best of Hulkamania (1990) Invasion `92 Wrestlemania's Greatest Matches (1989) Crunch Classic (1992) Rampage `91 Rampage `92

Nice!! Can't believe all the positive results in this thread that I started. Very awesome stuff, and I am loving all your stories.
@husker, you have a sweet collection of Coliseum Videos. Are you gonna try to get any of the Best Of The WWF Volumes in your collection??
