Does anyone else agree that their feud during late '98 through early '99 I think it was, seems to be overlooked? They had some pretty cool matches and promos. My favorite of their matches is the first blood match at Fully Loaded '99.

They did have a pretty good feud. A good thing about it, was when it initially started, it wasn't a basic heel vs. face feud. They were both faces at the beginning.
I did enjoy the First Blood match, especially when all heel broke loose towards the end. I loved towards the end when Shane came running out when Austin was going to hit Taker, who was tied up in the ropes, with a chair. He flies into the ring, and Austin just spins around and drills Shane with the chair. The other good spot was when Vince tried to catch Austin's leg with his crutch. Austin chases after Vince, who back tracks, swinging the crutch, and Austin just runs right up to him and punches him in the face. Only thing I hated in that match, was after it was over, and Taker 'busted open' Austin. The camera was right on Austin, when he took the cup of fake blood from under the ring, to toss on his face.

Will forever be a fan of their summerslam 98 encounter... still one of the biggest hyped matches i have ever seen Using AC/DC to hype the match was so great. Undertaker and Stone Cold are on the Highway to Hell! And how can you not love the poster: [glow=red,2,300][/glow]

the Highway to Hell video with highlights from both men was awesome too.......LOVED UTs slow burn heel turn that started at KOTR98......awesome stuff.
also loved Austin fighting for his life against UT and Kane at Breakdown 98.man I screamed my lungs out for Austin that night and was devastated he lost.he put some workrate and selling into that match......
slightly OT but How dare people compare Cena to Austin......saying they were similar in the ring.UGH.

Yeah I remember their Highway to Hell match literally getting promoted ALL Summer long. It really made Summerslam feel more like Wrestlemania that year.
The match was quite a let-down though. I just really didn't care for Undertaker's work rate in the late 90s. He seemed over weight, extra slow, bogged down with injuries and just went through the motions.
Cena and Austin are NO comparison BTW...
Austin knew how to work.

I loved it. Probably one of my all-time favorites. It's one of the first feuds I remember really well from around when I first started watching.

Two man Power Trip va Brothers of destruction is one of my favorite feuds Kane was so good in 2001. He was over too! Just watch his IC Championship chain match vs. Triple H for proof of how over Kane was in 2001.

the problem was,Austin ,after winning the World Title, had feuds with Dude Love, Kane, Undertaker,Big Show, and The Rock, but ALL were basically overshadowed, and part of,the all-encompassing feud with Vincent K. McMahon....so while he had all these individual matches/feuds, all were connected by McMahon's involvement, so a lot of people overlook the little feuds that went on during this time, and just look at Austin vs McMahon...

another thing worth noting about SSlam 98 was Austin got knocked out early in the match.......it could have been a lot better.
but buried alive?hoo boy was that heated or what??
ditto for Breakdown 98.man Austin fought like a lion that night against IMPOSSIBLE odds.
