Completely agree with the Hell In A Cell. The 25th Anniversary should have ended with something special. The Cell with WWE Title on the line would have been perfect. If only we could go back in time and kick Kid Rock of the show.

Since Stone Cold illegally re-entered the Royal Rumble after being eliminated (the referee's missed it due to brawl between Mankind & Terry Funk) they decided to have a Final Four match after HBK lost his smile. The Final Four match was Stone Cold and the three men he eliminated illegally from the Royal Rumble: Bret Hart, Vader and Undertaker.

Bret Hart ended up winning in what is still one of my favorite matches of all time.

Bret lost to Sid the next night on Raw due to Stone Cold interference.

This led to Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold in a Submission match. The rest is history.

You could say Stone Cold got his "Royal Rumble title shot" in the Final Four match.

Agreed about the Final Four match. Great match.

Anyway the Austin/Bret match at WM was the greatest WM match ever in my opinion. Adding the title to it would have made it even better IMO. Image the exact same match ending the show w/ Bret walking out after retaining the title. The fans would have been booing the crap out of Bret and the double "face-heel" turn they pulled would have been even better. Bret could have retained the title at WM, then dropped it to Taker not long after when he legit hurt his knee.

Seriously, Bret vs. Austin from 1997 is THE reason why I got into wrestling. The first night I watched Raw was the night Bret lost the title to Sid after Stone Cold hit him in the back with a chair.

I was hooked immediately.

EDIT: Still pissed that Final Four match hasn't been released on any blu-ray/DVD here in the States.

big part of it for me too.the nWo turning up in WCW was the other.I was actually watching that Nitro when Hall came out.I was effin stunned

loved Austin vs Hart rivalry.

I have IYH:Final Four on Tagged Classics so I think Im gonna put it on later.great match for sure.

The biggest mistakes are obviously Hogan/Rock and Macho/Flair.

I actually think Macho/Flair may have been a bigger mistake

Sid/Hogan was a blah match with a terrible finish but the Flair/Macho was a classic and Wrestlemania finishing with Fink proclaimaing "...and NNNNNNEEEEWWWWWW WWF Champion" is always a bonus

I really think Fink should announce all of Mania every year

Very surprised no one mentioned Wrestlemania VII : Ultimate Warrior vs. Randy Savage "Retirement" match.

One of the best in WM History, much better than the Hogan/Slaughter main event.
