so today when I got home from work I was watching IYH:Good Friends.... Better Enemies.
so I get to Razor Ramon vs Vader(great match BTW)
conventional wisdom here would dictate that(disposable midcarder on his way to the opposition) Hall would have been flattened by( new 1# heel,on his way to the title at the time)Vader,Right?
WRONG.
not only was this a very competitive match but the booking allowed Hall to appear to be Vaders equal in a VERY close run affair and he appeared unfortunate to lose.
then there is Vinces commentary, which highly flatters Hall throughout and the gushing goes on after the match too.in fairness to Vince its a heck of a farewell to the Razor Ramon character.he just about stops short of an on air goodbye.
obviously Nash would not get similar treatment because it would have made no sense given the circumstances but it kinda suprised me.
thoughts?

yet another reason why vader's wwf career was a huge mistake IMO.

House shows were a different story apparently. I went to a 1996 house show after news got out that Razor Ramon was on his way to WCW, and they had him do a quick, clean job to Jerry Lawler, who he was not feuding with, nor was Lawler being built up for any particular reason.

In hindsight, he should of said goodbye on the spot. The nWo storyline may have lost a little juice since a lot of people (myself included), thought the WWF was actually invading WCW.
