Seriously, Rhyno had a unique look and was above average in the ring. His ECW run was entertaing and he was great during the first half of 2001. The guy was dominating the hardcore division w/ entertaining matches w/ Raven and Jericho, but after SummerSlam that year, the WWE dropped him. Granted he did break his neck, but before that they had him wrestling Tajiri in a squash match for the US title at Unforgiven. He returned in 2003 and got a short feud w/ Benoit on SD, but was basically a jobber from mid-2003 to the end of his WWE run. I'll never forget how much of a spit in the face it was to Rhyno IMO when they had Batista squash him in basically 4 minutes in 2004.
This guy could have been a great upper mid-carder, low main eventer, but the WWE basically gave him no chance after SummerSlam 2001. Anyone else think the WWE dropped the ball w/ Rhyno or was he used right?
Oh, and who could forget this classic moment...

You then may enjoy the start of his TNA run.
Honestly, one could argue that WWE misused a lot of talent, because on ECW they looked great and on the WWE they went nowhere or took them a long time to achieve something, using by examples Rhyno, Tazz and even Rob Van Dam.

If you think Rhyno was cool, I hope you saw the stuff he did as Rhino in the real ECW. That dude was a serious machine.
It's a shame he never really became a big star. I know he got let go by WWE, but he wasn't really going anywhere and I doubt they would have done anything with him. He got pretty big in TNA, but that's like being the best player in the minor leagues.
I think they really did drop the ball with him. I think he could have been really useful. Obviously he would have needed to learn to act better and cut Sports Entertainment promos. Most of his talking in the real ECW was yelling and swearing...so his acting ability probably did hold him back in WWE a little bit.
I wonder if he will ever get another shot? He's only 36.

Never was a fan of Rhyno. He just didnt seem entertaining to me. I can see him more as a mid carder to lower mid carder.

Rhino was a monster in ECW.
Dude beat the sh*t out of anyone and everyone, nobody was safe.
Maybe if they gave him a mouth piece during his WWF/E run, he would've went somewhere.

I do think Rhyno had serious potential as a heel.his ECW background defo held him back IMO.
Stephanie "billion $ boobjob" McMahon hated Heyman so much that anyone from ECW was guilty by association.....many say that former ECW talent was treated poorly by her just to irk Heyman.

Here is one of the dumbest comments on that video. "...And that kids is how the Smackdown! Fist Stage was born ....oh wait, sorry. You probably don't remember that far back. See, we actually used to have creativity in thoughs days and make every arena/stage unic and different every show or ppv instead of keeping the same god damn one every show/ppv. But then again, I've used to many big words already My bad if I confused you poor little guys .....haha I may sound like kind of dick here, but its true." ....ok then. Anyways, he is only 36 so a WWE return is still possible. That's if they give him another chance.

I was a fan of Rhyno until he got thrown into a random tag team with Benoit and then forgotten.
I always thought Rhyno could have been a MAJOR player with the right manager.
He would have worked well in ANY "enforcer" role.

he sure could....I always thought a Heyman led stable in 2003 would have been an excellent idea.so did many within WWE apparently.....except one individual who I have an extreme dislike for............

I loved Rhyno! Both in ECW and WWE. I always thought he could have been an upper mid carder, especially with a mouthpiece. I use to play EWR sim game and always put him with Paul Heyman. I thought he was getting some momentum when he first debuted and had his first WWE run, but they never seemed to do much with him. I even liked his team with Benoit.

Rhyno was the man, he was awesome - should got an IC title run or a World Title run, after the Gore into the stage he should of gotten a monster push! Like RVD - I always thought Rhyno was a guy who would look cool with almost any belt, and yes I do think WWF/E dropped the ball on him - so much more could of been done and I wished that the Benoit feud was a lot longer too.

Agreed. Benoit and Rhyno had some good matches over the years, and instead of continuing their feud in 2003, Rhyno was suddenly dropped for no reason and the crappy A-Train began feuding w/ Benoit instead.
