Saw this in another forum and thought it would be cool to do here. If you could erase one title reign from each title, which would it be...
WWE Title: Triple H from No Mercy 2007. Seriously, there was absolutly no reason what so ever for HHH to beat Orton for the title, only to loose it 2 hours later back to Orton. The only two things this reign accomplished was adding another reign to HHH's name and to make Orton look like crap.
World Heavyweight Title: Tie between Dolph Ziggler 2011 and Triple H 2005. Dolph Ziggler for obvious reasons. The Triple H reign, like the other one I mentioned, was pointless. He was striped of the title in 2004, only to win it back a few weeks later in the Elimination Chamber. Instead of him just having one long reign, he was given two just to add another reign to his name.
IC Title: The Mountie. Seriosuly, The Mountie defeating Bret Hart? Just a stupid title change.
US Title: The Big Show 2003. I know alot of people hated Orlando Jordan's reign in 2005, but atleast he defeanded the title. Big Show held the title from October-March, and only defended the title about 2 times. Once against Hardcore Holly on SD and then against Cena at WM.
Tag Titles: Edge and Rey Mysterio 2002. Benoit and Angle were having a great angle where they hated eachother but were forced to team together, which resulted in some great matches. Then only 2 weeks after winning the titles they lost them to Edge and Rey, who ended up loosing them 2 weeks later to the Guerreros. Benoit and Angle should have just hung onto them before dropping the titles to Los Guerreros.
Womens/Divas Title: Trish Stratus 2005-2006. Not only was she overrated as hell, but this reign sucks as well. She held the title for over a year, but she was also off of WWE TV for about half of it.

If The Mountie never beat Bret Hart, Roddy Piper would've never had a singles WWE title reign at all, and the only title reign he would have had is that pathetic tag reign with Ric Flair, which I would wipe off in this exercise.

Jeff Hardy's World Heavyweight Championship reign that lasted a month in 2009. Would've been much better to have Punk hold it through June to October before dropping it to 'Taker.

WWE: Bob Backlund's Survivor Series 94 win against Bret Hart
WHC: Randy Orton's reign from May 11 to July 11. I would have let Christian keep the title the entire time and had Orton win it at SummerSlam. IC: I would never have let Chyna anywhere near the title
US: Jack Swagger. No reason to take it off Ryder. The move has been worthless for Swagger and terrible for Ryder. Ryder could have stayed US Champion through the Kane angle. Swagger also could have been built up to actually win the title if they were going to take it from Ryder. Instead, we got a shotgun match on Raw after Ryder worked so hard to take it from Ziggler. Didn't like it.
Tag Titles: David Otunga and John Cena. The Nexus angle between Cena and Barrett didn't need this at all imo. Even after that, Otunga just laid down to other members of the Nexus, which made no sense either imo. Terrible, no reason, booking. Miz and Cena was worthless as well imo. That type of stuff only adds to feuds when it's done like HBK and Austin imo.
Divas: Alicia Fox. I would have given the title to Maryse if they didn't want Eve to retain. The title doesn't really mean that much anyway but Alicia was pretty bad imo. I think she has gotten better character wise more recently but at the time I had no idea why the had her win.

WHC-Khalis reign.
Steph and her braintrust pushed hard for this one.....they should be shot with hardened balls of their own crap.
WWE:HHHs reign in 2009 heading to WM.
as dry and sterile a reign as we have ever seen.also his feud with Orton(which backfired terribly)wasnt about the title.it was barely mentioned.also the Mcmahon involvement here was utterly intolerable.it was great however t0 see Stephs own self serving booking backfire on her.Ortons DDTing her was meant to elicit sympathy but man the crowd(myself included)cheered like crazy.there are no words for my hatred of her.
IC Title:Chyna
dreadful and shortsighted decision by Vince.all it did was damage the belt further.luckily Angle,Jericho,RVD,Benoit,Edge and others would restore its cred(briefly)
US Title:Bret Hart last year.no explanation needed
WWF tag titles:oh SO many options here......but Ill go back to when the titles MATTERED.
123 Kid/Bob Holly.won the belts in a spirited scrap with Bam Bam and Tatanka at RR95.....only to lose them to The Smokin Gunns the next night.......why the hell didnt Bam Bam and Tatanka win then?

I'm in the minority here...
But I liked Bret Hart's U.S. Title reign last year. I just wish it would've been more thought out. It sucked for him to just give it up the next week. I know Bret wasn't in the BEST of health but he could still do stuff. Just look at his 5 vs. 5 tag match where he beat the crap out of Slater. They could have done...SOMETHING...with it.
Either that or I'm just a huge Bret Hart mark and love it whenever he's on TV even if he still calls the company WWF.
Probably the latter.

Bret's title reign was a nice refreshing idea, to a very boring Miz reign so I was all for it.
I would love to erase "Show-Miz" just completely.

I don't agree with the part in bold. Your problem with that Title reign is that it should have been longer rather being split in to two reigns right? But, I don't really get the problem with it; firstly, it was altogether a pretty cool storyline that lead to a fairly unpredictable EC match, which surely would have been more interesting than Triple H just holding the Title for longer. Secondly, I've never understood why people always hate short Title reigns. Sure, it's lame when the Title is treated like a hot potato so to speak, but I like varied-length Title reigns. If we never got short reigns, we'd go into too many PPVs thinking 'Meh, obviously ___ is gonna retain, he's only been Champion a month.' and it would all be very boring and predictable. That's just me. I thought the way they handled the whole scenario was really cool.

WHC: I know this response is basically expected...but David Arquette. Please.
WWE/F title: Kane's less-than-24 hour reign. I hate that that little reign still hangs over the Big Red Machine's head. Cool to have been Grand Slam Heavyweight Champion in WWE, but I think he deserved better.
I.C.: Dean Douglas. 'Nuff said.
U.S. Title: Bobby Lashley. This guy should be nowhere near a wrestling ring, let alone a wrestling title.
WWE/F tag titles: Renee Dupree & Kenzo Suzuki...does anyone actually even remember this title reign? Horrible.

That technically wasn't the World Heavyweight Championship. But I'll see your David Arquette, and raise you a Vince Russo. If I could erase the WCW World Title lineage from April 10, 2000 until October 2, 2000, I would. I would have let Booker T beat Sid in April for the title and let him keep it until Scott Steiner beat him at Mayhem. Maybe AOL/Time would still have wanted to be in the wrasslin' business had that happened.

I have to say I dont.it only happened to further the Austin vs UT feud planned for Summerslam and I was ok with that. Kane was a top tier jobber his entire career and for me he was never a World Title guy.his best shot at that was 2002 but we all know what happened there.

WWE Title: The Big Show's 2002 reign just due to how it made the whole Heyman-Angle-Lesnar thing really messy. Honestly, Big Show's transitionally title reigned turned Angle into a face for three weeks, then back to heel, with Heyman somehow aligning with Angle while he was facing Show (Heyman's other client). Just a huge cluster . World Heavyweight Title: Trips 2003-04 reign of terror, I liked the beginning stages but right after he won it back from HBK it got really stale and ugly. The Steiner feud and matches were just terrible, he should've dropped the belt to Book at WM. Then it turned into him facing Kevin Nash in a series of matches no one really cared to see. IC Title: I agree with The Mounties, but there have also been some really crappy title reigns, Zeke's in 2011 (he was as uninteresting as champion could be,. JBL's in 09 (have him win the belt 4 weeks before getting beaten in in under a minute at WM.. Edge's one day reign in 99. US Title: Orlando Jordan's 2005, yeesh was this reign terrible and irrelevant. He feuded with Heidenrich and Hardcore Holly and other names no one really cared about. And to believe he held it for six freakin' months. Tag Titles: Spirit Squad, something about 5 male cheerleaders holding the titles it just a little ridiculous. Rico and Rikishi's in 02 made crapsense as well. There are too many too list for this. Womens/Divas Title: Miss Kitty. and also should be noted--Hornswoggle has to be the WORST WWE title holder ever, his reign took a huge crapon every Cruiserweight Champion--especially Chavo Classic.

The storlyine going into the Elimination Chamber was cool, and I did enjoy it, but in the end, HHH was the only one who looked good in the match. The same stroyline could have played out w/ Triple H holding onto the title going into that match and then retaining it. It just seemed pointless to give him two title reigns.
I don't have a problem w/ short title reigns if they make sense. I actually agree that its more interesting when we get varied lengths of reigns. For example, I thought Kane's one day reign was great and made sense because it furthered the Austin-Taker feud going into SummerSlam and it was Austin getting screwed by McMahon and his guys. I also enjoyed Christian's 2 day title reign as it was well deserved and made sense going into the match (I won't go into how wrong it was for Orton to take it so soon). I also enjoyed HHH's first WWF Title reign even though it was only 2 weeks long because it added to the overall storyline(though McMahon winning it should never have happened).
But w/ Rey Mysterio and HHH's 2 hour reigns, they made absolutly no sense. Rey was given it as a "thank you" for his years of hard work, so it didn't bother me as much, but w/ HHH's 2 hour title reign at No Mercy 2007, all it accomplished was making Orton and Umaga look bad while HHH got to add another title reign to his name. The title win did nothing to add to the storyline or anything else. Cena taking the title from Del Rio for only 2 weeks, only to lose it right back made no sense either.
If a short reign makes sense, I have no problem w/ it, but when its done for no reason what so ever, it bothers me because it either devalues the title and/or does nothing to add to the big picture.

You will never see a woman in wrestling come close to what she did and she aided in creating the attitude era. To say that you chose her just because she's a woman is ignorant.

What did she accomplish? She was never entertaining beyond the novelty of being hired muscle for the men. She couldn't wrestle, cut a promo, or most importantly wrestle. Her not being talented had nothing to do with her being a woman and everything to do with her not being talented. You know how many talented wrestlers have walked through the curtain in WWE and never gotten a chance to hold that title? When I think of the IC Title I think of Macho Man Randy Savage, Ricky the Dragon Steamboat, Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, The Rock, Chris Jericho and you are going to tell me that Chyna is some how a formidable performer next to some of the greatest names that ever stepped through those ropes. HA! She's a female Rob Terry. End of story imo.
