The show opens with Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long announcing that Randy Orton has been removed from the Smackdown Elimination Chamber due to a concussion suffered on this week’s Raw (more on Orton here).
* The Big Show & The Great Khali b. Wade Barrett & Cody Rhodes. Khali picked up the win with the Punjabi Plunge, and once again got into a post-match confrontation with his partner that ended in Big Show hitting Khali with the WMD.
* Mark Henry, who seems to be back from his suspension, talks to Teddy Long in his office about possibly taking Orton’s spot in the Elimination Chamber. The Big Show interrupts and demands a match against Daniel Bryan tonight. A fight breaks out between Big Show and Henry that trashes the office. Long calls security and attempts to have Big Show removed, but security wants nothing to do with him.
* Hunico b. Ted DiBiase with a roll-up.
* Primo & Epico b. The Usos
* Daniel Bryan comes out to cut a promo. He says that he’ll win the Elimination Chamber match, and that Randy Orton is just scared to face him. He then asks Lilian Garcia to announce him as the winner of their scheduled match by forfeit. Teddy Long interrupts him and announces Orton’s replacement: Sheamus.
* Daniel Bryan b. Sheamus by disqualification. During the match, Bryan spit in Sheamus’ face, causing him to go crazy. The referee tried to restrain him, but he pushed the referee, causing the DQ.
* Cody Rhodes and Wade Barrett are backstage talking to Teddy Long about who’s getting Orton’s spot in the Elimination Chamber. Long announces that a battle royal will be held tonight in order to decide who gets the spot, and both Raw and Smackdown Superstars can compete.
* Jinder Mahal b. Ezekiel Jackson by submission with the Camel Clutch.
* John Laurinaitis met with Teddy Long backstage. Laurinaitis says that the battle royal needs more charisma, so he’s adding David Otunga to the match.
* Tamina & Alicia Fox b. Beth Phoenix & Natalya, with Tamina pinning Natalya.
* Santino Marella won a battle royal to replace Randy Orton in the Smackdown Elimination Chamber. The final four consisted of Drew McIntyre, Ezekiel Jackson, David Otunga, & Santino.
SANTINO? Surely someone will attack his ass at EC.

I hope the match starts with Daniel Bryan and Santino and Santino gets taken out 5 seconds in. Then the rest of the time before the next entry Daniel Bryan keeps shouting YES YES YES YES YES. Or Cody Rhodes starts and cuts a promo.

orton must be legit hurt again.
im actually happy about that because it means he's not going to win the chamber. its only a matter of time before he squashes his way to the WHC again. ive had a god damn nuff of Orton.
interesting with sheamus v bryan....i reaaalllly want that to be the WHC match at Wrestlemania...that has 5 star potential.
I'm hoping that Big Show knocks out Khali in the chamber match and somehow Bryan gets the pin on him, just to further his gimmick.

it's like someone in creative said, we don't got time to book some body for this shit. Just put Santino in there, they'll find it funny, and by the time they change their mind the PPV will come and go. I'm hoping, all love for Santino, he gets beat down Edge-Kingston style before the cage even closes. I can think of at least 8 other people that would make the match more.... legitimate.. but who knows, the WWE did let Marella tease a win in the 40 man rumble. This may be another bone they throw his way for being such a timeless/problem-free talent. Anyway, here's to the potential 4 guys that find their way into the chamber: 1. Alberto Del Rio 2. Christian 3. Drew McIntyre 4. Mark Henry (why the , not? it doesn't take much for that monster to maul marella and he could stay locked up in a chamber until the final minutes of the match) |
