Having been subscribed for a few years and having watched the Monday Night Wars I've seen segments and announcers talking about Benoit be cut out. In one case they skipped a nitro due to Benoit main eventing the show.
This is nothing new to me or any of us on here, we all know the reason why he isn't shown on these shows. My question is what are they going to do once benoit becomes a more crucial part to the show? Will they show his match with bret hart, will we see him debut and main event all those raws? Or will they just stop the monday night wars when they get to that point?

I think its dumb he's taken out of Nitro/Raw clips. I mean who cares, we know he's there, we know what happened...Classics isnt just shown on TBS for everyone to see. Its specifically for Wrestling fans that know the history. They dont edit OJ Simpson out of NFL Films highlights on ESPN...Jesus, get over it already.
Just my lil rant

I don't know why they would have to cut out an entire episode.
They should just cut out the match/segment/whatever with him in it instead.

I too wonder about that. Especially if they get to 2000 and the Radicalz debut on Raw. How are they gonna play that out??
I know they have Bash at the Beach 96 and Super Brawl 8 on there right now, and both Benoit matches are missing.
I can understand not putting his matches on DVDs, but I don't see why they can't show his match on there. Everyone knows what happened and it sucks greatly for everyone involved. But you can't just erase him forever.

I think it's stupid to take him out. Seriously, he existed and he wrestled, if they don't want to promote him, for example this years' Royal Rumble promo, where they indirectly mention him. If someone doesn't want to see Benoit, they could easily just skip where he is, but us fans of him that do want to see him don't really have a choice but not to see him.

I think it is stupid for them to edit him out of the On Demand programming I mean DVDs and televised stuff is one thing but if you're paying $10 for WWE Classics each month I think they should allow you to watch what you pay for.
It's been 5 years and half of the younger audience probably don't even know who he was or what he did so I think at least in the WWE Classics programs they should leave him in.

I've wondered the same exact thing. He was a key figure in the War from what 99-01 especially. There is simply no way to avoid it when you get into those years. So the shows will either be heavily edited (would really suck), or they will simply stop showing the "war" at a certain point. I always wondered what they would do when they got to that time-frame where WCW was very watered down and poopty. What exactly are they going to do during the Russo era? I can tell you this much, the "war" is the main reason why I have WWE on Demand and if they just up and stop showing it or start over (yet again) I'll likely cancel my subscription.
It's time to get over it. Yes, we all know how horrible the whole situation was and is. But to completely erase the guy like he never existed and never played a significant role is stunning to me. You look throughout sports and they all have that one guy that made the sport "look bad" or whatever. Hell, sports have many. Yet the pro-wrestling has one very bad situation with one person and we have to erase everything about the guy? Initially, I could understand it, but its 2012 now. From a purely wrestling perspective...its time to get over it. The guy was an amazing performer and I frankly miss seeing his matches and its a shame that we lose so much content because of one guy's horrible action. If this was some random bum it would be different, but he was anything but (inside the ring).

I have often wondered the same thing.
and as mentioned above with the debut of The Radicalz it will really sting.

I remember on nitro flair was cutting a promo about the horsemen and he's talking about how each guy is ether injured or involed with something, and right as Flair is about to mention Chris their is this awakward cut and the screen blackouts out for a sec...

Before I comment on the on deman classics thing, I want to say that what Benoit did was horrible and disgusting, but I am still a fan of Benoit the wrestler. I like to remember wrestlers for what they did in the ring, not for what they did outside of it.
W/ that said, I believe that it is silly to remove anything w/ Benoit in it from Classic on Demand simply for the reason that people have to pay for it. Like another person said, it is a paid program, and not on free TV. If people don't like Benoit, then they can fast forward past his stuff. But for the people that still enjoy Benoit in-ring work, like me, its taking a big part of the Monday Night Wars away from us. From 1999-2001, Benoit was one of the main players for both companies at the time, and to take him out takes out some memorable moments, like Benoit and Bret putting on 5-star classics to Benoit winning. the WCW Title, only to jump to the WWF the next night.

Don't they inculde him in their anthology discs? Like the Summerslam and Wrestlemania ones?
