Add Ishimori to the list of guys coming over to the states until the pandemic in Japan clears up. Just move the whole company to America at this point. Man if you'd have told me a year ago that new Japan would have a mass excursion from Japan to America to get to a better pandemic environment... |

So uhhh.... I just saw they gave Toru Yano and Chase Owens like 28 freaking minutes!? Listen, I love Yano, I do. My favourite comedy match of all time is Toru Yano vs. Colt Cabana in RoH. He doesn't need 28 minutes. 28 seconds of Chase Owens is 28 seconds too long. Good god what is going on in Japan. Cobb & Okada for 27 minutes sounds fantastic, but Yano/Owens, not so much.

I saw Yano and Owens went 28 minutes. Oof, that's way too long. How come they got 28 minutes, but Tanahashi and Ibushi only got 18? Also I read that they're planning on making Wrestle Kingdom three nights. Two nights was enough, but 3? With the booking they have today? Oof

Yano vs. Owens was f*&^ing terrible, i can't stand Chase Owens and the bad news is he's in the G1. NJPW needs to stop running stadiums until capacity limits are lifted since it looked so empty. At least Tana vs. Ibushi was great and the top rope tour of the islands Jeff Cobb did looked awesome.

Looking at that G1 field and it’s hard to make an argument for anyone having a shot at winning except for Okada and Sanada. The only reason I even say Sanada is you know at some point New Japan is gonna go with him as a top guy. I mean Ibushi, I don’t think will win again, Naito has had a lot of focus taken off of him, I don’t see Shingo winning the tournament. Everyone else just feels like filler to round out the field with all the guys that left due to Covid.
