Rick Martel joins the likes of Rick Rude, Ric Flair and Macho Man #4 (Cowboy Outfit) in the light/dark paint job variations:  There is different copyright wording on the back of the darker pink variant. I'm not sure if that means much though: 1990 TITAN SPORTS, INC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED MADE IN CHINA The regular pink one has: 1990 TITAN SPORTS, INC ALL RIGHTS RESERVED MADE IN CHINA FOR HASBRO INC. For what exists out there, I have both the carded and loose Rude, loose Flair, carded Savage 4 and now loose Martel. If anyone has the carded Flair or Martel variations, please post pics. |

That dark variant looks good (maybe not for the "model" gimmick, but I like the color!) So, now you can go color hunt as well as copyright hunt  |

i found these onebay last month which did not sell for £5.99 it was the same guy who tries to sell the RIck rude varients
personally i didnt think they were legit , maybe im wrong

I thought that too before I rec'd the figure. Fortunately the paint job is 1st class so it's doubtful that it is funskool piece.

So awesome that Hasbro variants are still being found to this day.
I actually prefer the look of the darker variant, even is Martel's tights were a light shade of pink.

Do you know if there is a Big Bossman variant? The oldest one with sunglasses? I have 2 of them and they are in different shades of blue. I don't know if the lighter one has sun damage or what. Any info?

I'm 99% sure that there wasn't any color variant for the Bossman. I have seen some where his arms were a slightly different shade from the torso though. It probably has to do with the aging or fading of the plastic.

With the Bossman figure 1, there is a chance of it, because i was told that there is 2 versions of it. 1 with series 1 backing card and the other with series 2.
Also is it true, that the series 1 bossman says "part of the twin towers" and other one doesn't

Yeah, I have seen plenty of Hasbro lots on eBay where the Bossman #1 figures sold were nothing more than a faded blue shirt (not a variant) due to its age/condition. |
