it just felt more exciting! each PPV felt like a special event... i can still remember begging my dad to order the first Survivor Series in 1987,hyping up what a special event it would be,all for the "exorbitant" price of 20 something dollars! and my first WM on PPV,WrestleMania IV,and my friend Corey rushing back from Wilkes-Barre to arrive just in time for the start of it...and my comment that i didn't care who won the WWF Championship,as long as Demolition won the Tag Titles.....
i miss that excitement and enthusiasm! i know part of it is being older,but i also know part of it is the product has changed so much....

We didn't have Sky Movies (PPVs were shown here first on Sky I think) for the 1991 Royal Rumble (we did for WM7!).
I sat & 'watched'/listened to the entire thing with the screen scrambled. I don't believe I'd do that these days for any PPV. I remember being shocked wondering what was happening listening to the commentary during the Warrior/Slaughter match.
