I did a thread about rebooking WM 18 a while back, and decided to see if there was anything that anyone would change about the following WM...
Personally, WM19 is one of my favorite WMs. There would be a few minor changes I would have made, but for the most part, it would have gone as is. I would have changed the order of the matches though.
WWE Title - Lesnar vs Angle vs Benoit- Lesnar wins World Title - Triple H vs Booker T - Booker T wins The Rock vs Steve Austin - The Rock wins Mr. McMahon vs Hulk Hogan - Hogan wins HBK vs Y2J - HBK wins WWE Tag Titles - Los Guerreos vs Team Angle - Team Angle wins Undertaker vs The Big Show - Taker wins World Tag Titles - RVD/Kane vs Storm/Morley - RVD/Kane win Creuiserweight Title - Rey Mysterio vs Matt Hardy - Mysterio wins
Dark match - Goldust vs Christian

This is my second favorite Wrestlemania of all time!
Honestly, the only thing I would change was the fact that Kane/RVD vs. Morley/Storm was on Sunday Night Heat instead of the actual PPV. Also, they should have just made it a 3 way tag match and added the Dudley Boyz. Either way, Kane & RVD should have went over. I think they won the next night on Raw but it should have been on the actual Wrestlemania card.
Edit: Looking back, I also wish they either would have found a different partner for Undertaker or just had Nathan Jones wrestle the match. Having Undertaker work a handicap match against Big Show & A-Train and Nathan Jones running in anyway was just...meh.

I think the Dudleys were scheduled to work Batista and Orton at WM 19, were they not?? I swear I read that somewhere, maybe Batista's book it was in.
I felt Scott Steiner should have been on the card too. Steiner vs. Christian would have been nice. They put so much time and effort in building up Steiner, why not give him a WM match against Christian who could carry the match.

The big change would surely have to be Booker going over.

I don't know if it was ever planned or not, but it seems likely. Right around that time is when they had that incident at a house show, which I'm pretty sure was Orton/Batista vs. The Dudleys, where Orton, Batista, and I think Bubba all wound up injured during their match. Y'know, now that I think about it, it is kinda weird that he was nowhere to be found on the WM card. They brought him in as this huge acquisition, he feuded with the World Heavyweight Champion for two months, and then he didn't appear on a PPV again until Judgment Day. WM19 really doesn't need much in the way of change, as it's one of the best PPVs there is. All I'd do is scrap the catfight with Stacy, Torrie, and the Miller Light Catfight Girls along with Limp Bizkit's second performance and use that time to have the tag match actually take place during WM.

Would have put Test vs Christian on instead of the pointless cat fight sh**, and would have had Taker vs Show one on one.

I've always been a Steiner fan, but after seeing how bad he was in the ring w/ Triple H, nobody, especially at the time, wanted to see him on the biggest show of the year. While Hunter stunk in their matches too, he didn't botch like Steiner did, and I wouldn't be surprised if keeping him off the card was punishment for literally almost killing Hunter w/ a few botched moves.

I still say Triple H sabotaged those matches he had with Steiner. Just like Flair did in 91 with matches against Steiner. They should have fed jobbers to Steiner for at least 4 months. Build him up huge and then he could have faced Triple H, hell, he could have faced Triple H at WM 19 instead of Booker. I don't think anyone believed that Booker had a chance at winning the belt.

HHH didn't sabotage anything. HHH was still months away from real ring shape and Steiner was basically injured and couldn't have a decent match against anyone. It was a recipe for disaster those two being together.
As far '91 goes? Flair wanted Scotty to be world champion. As did Dusty which was the only time Flair and Dusty agreed on a booking decision.

I know that it was quite a shock around here that he didn't pick up the win.

I've heard rumors that Booker was origionally booked to win until not long before the show when Vince and "Hunter" decided to go in a different direction. Looking at the build up for the match it seemed like Booker was suppose to win, but I guess a combo of Hunter's ego and Goldberg being signed changed those plans. As far as Hunter sabatoging their matches, neither of them should have been working together. Vince and the WWE knew about Steiner's foot problem, yet they still decided to put him and Hunter, who was still hit and miss in the ring since returning the previous year, in a program. But their build up was a whole nother story. The whole posedown and arm wrestling contests were stupid, and Steiner should have been squashing jobbers and mid-carders on his way to a title fight. After the royal rumble mess, they should have booker Evolution against Steiner, Booker T, and Goldust instead of another horrid HHH/Steiner fight. Steiner was basically squashed every week leading up to No Way Out.

Steiner should've taken some more time away and when he was in shape again then he should've come back to WWE. It was a wasted oppurtunity.

Steiner was in ring shape though, the guy was wrestling for WWA for months before that.
As for Flair sabotaging Steiner, you can ask many people and they say that Flair purposely gave Steiner a bad match as the Clash in January 91 so the belt wouldn't go to him. Many wrestlers have said that too.

And when did wrestlers say Flair gave Steiner a bad match on purpose? I've read alot on that match and heard nothing but how Flair wanted to drop to Scotty.

Steiner had drop foot.there was no way in hell he should have been booked in those matches.the length of them alone was a disaster as you lads and others have pointed out. Vince,Steph and the braintrust knew that Steiners injury eliminated a good 50% of his moveset.yet he was still booked in these epic snoozers......also their match at RR had NO shot of sucess after the epic Angle/Benoit tangle. I also believe HHH didnt try quite as much as he could have here.but again he was overmuscled and out of shape completely himself.the whole thing was a cluster . as Cordless says the build was also crap.and Stephanie suggesting Steiner would be enamored with her was also a dose of shiite. as for Booker-yeah he was meant to go over.......it was Stephanie and Hunter for selfless reasons probably ::)who suggested things be changed.

If I could have booked things, I would have booked a tag match w/ HHH/Flair vs Steiner/Booker T at the Rumble, w/ Steiner getting the pin over Flair. This way Flair and Booker could have worked most of the match, and Steiner and Hunter would have both still looked strong.
Steiner would have then gotten a title fight at NWO and would have destroyed mid-carders in a bunch of squash matches leading up to it. Their match would have been a No DQ match so that weapons and interferences could have distracted from their crappy ring work. Evolution could have been helping HHH, and Booker T and Goldust could have been helping Steiner. Hunter would have barely gotten the win, and then would have gone into his feud w/ Booker, and Booker would have won the title at WM19.
IMO this would have worked much better for everybody. Steiner and Hunter both look strong by not having their crappy matches, and Booker gets more involved in the feud and goes over at WM. Steiner also wouldn't have been squashed, and would have still been seen as a main event guy and Hunter would have still been the #1 heel on the show. It possibly could have also led to a Steiner vs Flair match at WM.

Looking back, Wrestlemania 19 was a very entertaining show. Like many, I really wanted Booker T to win the Championship from Triple H. He was incredibly over and I remember being at the Raw when he won the battle royal to become the number one contender. It was definitely a shock since he was mostly a mid-carder up to that point. Unfortunately he went back down the card following Mania that year.

I just watched this PPV, Honestly this is one of my favorite Manias, WM 17 and WM 20 being above this one but yeah it was a great show. I liked Limp Biskit performing Undertakers theme, The crowd was kinda dead at times and the main event was a wrestling match, no flashy moves or anything was used.
