Guys please please please help. My basic 37 batistas arm fell off. The bicep swivel was ed. I have this old basic Batista that I really want to use to fix my b37. Is there any way I can take the arm off at the shoulder and put it on to my B37? So basically can I partially crack the torso at the arm socket only? I do not want to ruin my figure. But I need a fix. I refuse to ing pay for another one.

Elites are much easier to crack

with basics i dont use a screw driver because they leave stess or even start bending the plastic. I use a blade and just slice dow the seams and cut the pegs. I still put it in heated water to make it more pliable.

If you do get stress marks on the torso, you can run a lighter under it for a few seconds and it will disappear

are all these torso's a pain to crack, completely screwed up the upper half of a punk, and now just can not find a way to do an elite matt hardy saving him until i can fathom the elites The difficulty varies from figure to figure. Some have tons of glue or welded seams, those are toughest to crack without damage. To be blunt, I don't believe heating up the figures does anything to make them easier to crack. If anything it makes them HARDER to crack, because if the plastic is more pliable you get less leverage when prying with the screwdriver, and increases warpage. I never heat up a figure before cracking it, and get the same results as that video up there, right down to the mini damage where the guy pried with the screwdriver. The advantage being that I don't have to wait for water to get hot, you can start any time. However, if the glue inside is water-soluble, or gets brittle when heated, I can see how boiling water would break down the glue, weakening the bond, letting the pegs separate. That would be something worth asking Mattel if they still do Q & A sessions.
