Just courious as to what are fair amounts to pay for each POPY figure as i'm going to start saving some money away to buy all the figure.
Any feedback would be appriciated,

That's a tough one; I buy my Popys (mostly) on Yahoo! Japan Auctions through a bid agent, however this means I pay: my maximum bid + bidding fee + shipping to bidder + shipping from bidder to me. Total is pretty expensive.
Some items I've followed without winning, however this allowed me to see end-prices without shipping.
So, here are my estimates without shippingcosts and bidding fees (which usually is about $42 - to Belgium anyways, unless you're unlucky and have to pay customs in your country - which can happen, just not everytime):
Abdullah The Butcher: $62.66
Andre The Giant: $54.19
Antonio Inoki: $94.85
Bob Backlund: $101.62
Dory Funk jr: $149.92 (only one price available)
Harley Race: $90.32 (only one price available)
Hulk Hogan: $126.32
Mil Mascaras: $90.25
Stan Hansen: $135.82
Terry Funk: $101.51
Remember, these are estimates without shippingcosts and other fees...

I would agree with Ruby in general. It would appear that Andre & Abby show up more often and generally sell for less than average.
Hogan & Dory Funk do seem harder to find.
Hogan probably due to the fact that...... uhm.... well... he's the most popular wrestler of all time.
Dory Funk appears to be a bit underproduced.
I disagree a bit with the prices as I have seen Inoki sell for more, probably due to the fact that he's the only Japanese wrestler in the series.
Personally I sold loose a loose Stan Hansen and Terry Funk for $ 150+ each.
I will be getting a MOC Mil Mascaras soon, so my loose one will be for sale. PM me if interested.

On the subject of Inoki: I have seen four going between 8,050 and 15,000 yen. I added the four prices I had and divided by four. So, the estimate seems low, yes.
BTW, Inoki was actually a japanese emigrant to Brazil, before being brought back to Japan by Rikidozan.

I've got the chance to get Popy Andre and Abby loose for $175. I want to take it, but it's close to that Christmas time. I'm still working it out.

i've paid 100 to 150 for all of mine(loose). i still need dory, hogan, and backlund. Those seem to be the hardest to find. If anyone has those for sale pm me please. some wanted to see my collection. here it is. you cant really see terry but hes there in the back.  |
