During the attitude era, I watched bits and pieces but not having cable at that time, never really got to watch a whole lot of it (plus, I was like 5, so my parents weren't too keen on it. ) Around that time, I loved late-80's, early-90's wrestling, so I would rent or buy those tapes instead. Around 2003, I really got into modern wrestling, and have watched it fairly consistently, with a couple breaks, ever since. Now don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the current WWE and TNA, but I feel like I missed out on something special. So, I was considering starting at Wrestlemania 13, and going on from there, maybe watching Raw every Wednesday, since there's no wrestling on that day, and going up to about 2000. So, anybody ever think of doing something like this? Have you ever done it?

The past few months I've been watching a lot of wrestling on JTV. Don't wanna post anything "against the rules" so hopefully people know what I'm talking about. There are a few great channels on there with full years 24/7.

WrestleMania 13 is a good starting point. A lot of people would say to start at KOTR 96 for the Austin 3:16 speech but that really didn't kick off until WM13 during the double turn Austin/Bret match. You'll get to see an awesome feud in Austin/Hart Foundation, the Montreal screwjob (which you've probably seen already) and the rise of Austin 3:16 from really Royal Rumble 98 onwards.
If you're going to watch the PPVs during this time as well there's a lot of matches you can skip that are just really bad and provide nothing to storyline advancement. Don't get me wrong there are a lot of good ones here too. With the attitude era you had a really great main event scene and a not so great under card that was left behind.
The only thing that is going to stop you from doing this is you. You might get burnt out really quick on these and if you do that's totally understandable.

I dont remember 97 that well but have the big 4 and all the IYH from this year.
its a pity the best of Raw volumes wont continue due to 93.94 not doing well.rumor has it though a lot of the unused 97 stuff will pop up on the new Austin DVD.heres hoping.....his feuds with The Hart Foundation and Nation were great.

well,97 can basically be summed up as Austin /whoever joined him that week vs Bret Hart/ The Hart Foundation , and Undertaker vs. whoever the next #1 contender was/ Shawn Michaels....

Absolutely, I've done it and continue to do it when I get the chance. I've watched just about every Raw from 1998, including the pay-per-views and several Sunday Night Heat episodes. I can't remember exactly when I started, but one night a few years ago I decided to watch the first Raw episode of early January 1998 and kept watching week-after-week until I grew tired of it. I only made it a few Sunday Night Heats in before I got tired of listening to Shane McMahon's voice on commentary. However, this past June, I skipped ahead from early January 1999 to the night after Fully Loaded in July 1999 and I've been watching ever since. I'm up to mid-November 1999 and recently watched Survivor Series '99. I started watching SmackDown! about three episodes in once I got up to September 1999, so now I try to watch the two shows in order. It's certainly time-consuming, but the product is entertaining for the most part and I look forward to 2000. Eventually, I'd like to go back and watch Raw from January to July 1999, as well as maybe a few other years, but for now I'll just see how long I can go before I grow tired and move on to something else.

You're all right, they are burnt DVDs, they are very good VHS quality which kind of adds to the nostalgia I think. I do buy all the PPVs on official DVDs by the way

Through WWE Classics on Demand, I've been re-watching the weekly series they offer. It's nice because they run the episodes in chronological order so you can follow the week-to-week storyline booking more clearly, and follow the context of guys debuting, leaving, getting (or losing) a push, etc.
I've been re-watching Raw & Nitro 1996 & 1998, Prime Time Wrestling 1989, ECW 1997, NWA World Championship Wrestling 1987-88, and WWF Tuesday Night Titans 1984. Also watching Mid-Atlantic Wrestling 1982, but that was before I became a fan so I'm seeing those full episodes for the first time right now.

I've been watching 2001 WWF, and right now I'm in the 2nd week of April.
It might not be everybody's favorite year, considering the inVasion and all, but it's the freshest in my memory, and I can think back to watching as a kid, and reliving it now.

I have gone back and watch full PPVs or feuds not really a whole year tho.
Like mikey1974 I usually rewatch 88-92. Thats my favorite and the most nostalgic for me. Mid 90s have a pretty boring undercards, until the Austin/'attitude era' in late 96/97. I was starting high school in 98 so I can remember most things from that point on fairly well.

A few weeks ago i found an old box in storage that had almost every Smackdown from 2004 and a few Raw shows from 2003-2005.
I have been watching them (some for the first time).
