Im watchin rumble 1994 at the moment, such a good event, solid card and the gimmicks are great.
My Favorite classic rumble moment is either:
- The Undertaker gets locked in the casket and rises up (such an eerie moment)
- Shawn michaels helps eliminate diesel
Or rumble 95 when shawn michaels outlasts anyone.
What is your favorite classic rumble moment?

I think Bobby Heenans performance throughout the 1992 Rumble match is what stands out for me! not just in the Royal Rumble but in wrestling in general!
It was an hour long performance so probably isn't a "moment" but well worth a mention!
Also in the same Rumble, when Flair was in the ring by himself and the next one out was piper.
Absolutely classic!

When Chris Benoit eliminated The Big Show to win the 2004 RR. Since HBK was the only guy to win at #1 back in 1995, and considering how the WWE never seemed to give Benoit a serious main event push, his win was a huge mark-out moment for me.

Has to be Mick Foley in the 1998 Royal Rumble, coming out as 3 seperate entrances as Dude Love, Mankind and Cactus Jack.

I agree with the comment re: Heenan & Flair at Royal Rumble '92.
Some random ones off the top of my head:
Mr. Perfect return at RR '02 Ax and Smash #1 and #2 then Andre #3 at RR '89 Ultimate Warrior/Randy Savage/Sgt Slaughter/Sensational Sherri at RR '91

1989: Ax & Smash starting out.
1992: Heenan commentary, Flair's performance
1993: Giant Gonzales debuts
1994: Diesel dominates (this performance got him over)

ahh to be naive again.

Benoit winning the Rumble. During that same Rumble, Undertaker's gong being heard, was such a wicked moment.
Like previously mentioned as well, Diesel's performance during the 1994 Royal Rumble. Great stuff.

- Thinkin Kevin Nash was number 30 in rr02 only to hear booker t's music, (heard rumour of his return at the rumble)
- Owen hart turn on bret rr 94
- The Masked wrestlers in the 97 rumble match who i never saw before
- Foleys 3 entrances is 98
- Bob Backlunds performance in 93 as it was the first rumble i saw

92 Rumble is one of my favorite events ever. Piper winning the I-C title, Heenan's Rumble commentary, the finish to the Rumble. I was never a big Hogan fan and him pulling Sid out really ticked me off.
89 Rumble starting off Ax versus Smash
90 Rumble when Warrior and Hogan were the only two in the ring. I was a big Warrior fan and thought it would be awesome to see him face Hogan in a one on one match, was shocked when it was announced they would meet at WM 6.

I think one of the more underated Royal Rumbles was the 96 one. You had Jerry Lawler hid under the ring for most of the match, you had yokozuna, vader, mable, diseal, all in the ring. Then the whole head injury storyline, and eliminating diesel made for an epic event

92 Rumble was amazing. Love Heenen on commentary. Also think that is the one where Hogan has I.R.S. by the tie, and Heenen says he has him by the tongue. I love so many Rumbles. As a kid Undertaker/Yoko 94 was cool. 96 with Micheals. Austin winning, and Mcmahon winning. Maven eliminating Undertaker, then getting the S**t beat out of him, so many.

Maven eliminating the Undertaker in the 2002 Rumble. It was so unexpected.
The Hurricane going for the double choke slam on Austin and HHH in 2002. Funny as hell.
Austin throwing Christian, Test and Saturn back in the ring after eliminating them, and eliminating them a second time in 2002
Macho Man going for the pin in the 1993 Rumble
HBK & Undertaker starting the 2008 Rumble

Maven getting his ass handed to him by the Undertaker in '02 was classic, the '92 Rumble was incredible on all cylinders, but THE moment that defined the Royal Rumble for me came in 1990 with this little showdown:
That moment cannot be beat to this day for me.

I was at the 02 Rumble. During it I was talking to the guy infront of me. He said that he thought Maven was going to comeback and win it since he wasn't truely eliminated. I said, man, I don't think Maven's coming back. It was funny to me, because I knew that cat wasn't making it back after that beating, along with the fact it was Maven.

Maven almost eliminating Taker in the 03 rumble. The look on Taker's face was priceless.
