What are some dream matches we could have seen but for one reason or another didnt happen?
A few come to mind most notably in WCW.
Macho Man Vs Rey Mysterio would have loved to see this.
Steve Austin Vs Hulk Hogan
Steve Austin vs Macho Man. the powers that be prevented this match from ever happening.
Bret Hart vs Jericho
Bret Hart vs Lance Storm
Mark Calloway vs Sting.

A longer running Lightheavy Weight title in WCW. They had all the stars for it at the time,
Ricky Morton Brian Pillman Jushin Liger Scotty Flamingo Terry Taylor Z-Man
And the list goes on and on.
As for dream match/feud that could have happened I would go with
Randy Savage vs Eddie Guerrero. That did a tag match against each other but never a singles.

The first one that comes to my mind is Shawn Michaels vs. CM Punk. As far as I know, they've never faced one on one, and being that they are easily two of my favorite superstars of all-time, I was hoping they'd have just one match before Shawn retired. Unfortunately, that didn't happen, but this is easily a dream match for me.

WCW Vs. WWF nWo Vs. WWF
done properly i mean. the way WWF handled both in 2001 and 2002 respectively was absolutely pathetic.

Sting has actually faced Mean Mark before but not at the stage most wanted to see...
-Steiner Bros vs Road Warriors (80s or 90s) for the tag titles. I think they fought once but should have been much bigger of a deal.
-Ric Flair vs Tully Blanchard (might have happened early 80s but dont know of any footage)
-Hulk Hogan vs Dusty Rhodes- I thought this would have been great to see in WWF. Two of the biggest faces, north vs south...awesome.

Pathetic isnt the word.there needs to be a new word invented for the handling of this crap. Honestly between most top guys choosing to sit out their contracts, and others not choosing to sign right away i cant see how the invasion angle would have worked, plus it gave more mportance and made their debuts special when guys like flair, rey, and goldberg showed up later on. Also this was wcw 2001 not wcw 1997 they had to work with what theynhad which wasnt much. As for the NWO Three factors ruined it. 1. Hall's drinking problem 2. Nash getting injured 3. Hogans face turn.

Flair,The Steiners and Goldberg were all willing to participate.add a CREDIBLY handled DDP and Booker T and it was gold.
there were many ways for Vinnie to make this work-he didnt want it bad enough.he balked at the price of certain contracts which still annoys me.
Invasion 2001 did a monster buyrate headlined by the 5 on 5.imagine if it had been headlined by
Austin and Rock vs Goldberg and Steiner/Booker T/DDP?
he should have built it all year with WM8 being the blowoff.unfortunately it wasnt to be.

Hall and Nash were firm holdouts on their contracts man so they wouldnt have been there.
but when the nWo did come in that match would have been great(presuming Hall and Nash could have stayed healthy)

What would have been great in an ideal world is WCW invades WWF in June 2001, they consist of:
Flair (Spokesman/Part time wrestler) Sting Booker T Goldberg DDP Steiner Bros Mike Awesome Lance Storm RVD (announced as recruited from ECW) Torrie Wilson Stacy Kiebler
they are treated as equals by the writers against WWF superstars, they have many months of quality matches & PPVs, with both sides getting the upper hand at different PPV's. WM18 is the blowoff for WCW vs WWF feud with matches like:
Goldberg v Austin Rock v Booker T Steiners v Brothers of Destruction Sting v HHH DDP v Angle RVD v Y2J
during WM18 there is a "Paid announcement by the nWo" this leaves everyone in shock that the nWo is coming. The Raw the day after WM18, there is a huge tag team ME match Austin & Rock vs Goldberg & Booker T, this is where the nWo debut, beating down all 4 men, leaving them laying. The following RAW Flair would come out & call for a truce with WCW/WWF, and that they have a bigger foe in the nWo, WWF could then have another 12 months of quality matches & events, with twists & turns using WM19 as the blowoff for WWF vs nWo. Hogan v Austin would obviously be the main event for this.

the fact that wcw EVER teamed up with ecw in any sense just shows how absolutely horridly written the invasion angle was. ecw only spent it's entire duration on the major wrestling market dismissing and denouncing wcw at every opportunity.
like, jesus christ.
