I wasn't big into ECW at the time The Steiners had a short run in the company. But looking back I think had they stayed feuds with The Eliminators, Dudleys, Benoit & Malenko, and Raven & Richards would've been classic stuff. I also would've liked to have seen them win the ECW Tag Team Titles.
People's thoughts? Likes and/or dislikes?

Loved the Steiners in ECW, they were probably my favorite tag team at the time an although they had such a brief run there, I think they could have done some interesting stuff, both with and against Taz. Would have really liked to see more of that. Was getting into ECW huge at the time and familiar faces like them helped generate interest from everyone

My best friend I was just talking about this yesterday. We would love a dvd set of them I mean come on they were in WCW,ECW,WWF, and Japan. You have more then enough footage to make a 3 disc set. And to let you know this came up discussing suplexes. We started talking about how Mr. Hughes and Vader was taking German Suplexes from the Steiners and coming away what a scratch from it when it looked like they broke they're neck.

Very brief run, but they were great, and Rick of course was involved in the Double Tables match, which was great for its time.
I'd love it if Highspots or someone could make a 3-disc set of their best matches from WWF/E, WCW, ECW and of course their time in Japan, that'd be awesome.

a Steiner Brothers DVD would be great.I still dont get why they fell out of favor in WWF. does anyone know I wish I knew why the Steiners weren't used after the 1993 Survivor Series. They were in the Rumble, but nothing noteworthy after that. They weren't even used at WrestleMania X. I mean Steiners vs. M.O.M. or Quebecers would have been great. Over even Steiners vs. Heavenly Bodies. Their match against Bret & Owen was AWESOME for anyone who has never seen it! I wish The Steiners had regained the titles after Survivor Series so we could have had Steiners vs. Harts at the Royal Rumble. On a side note, I purchased The Best of the Steiners VHS from RF Video years ago and it is still one of my favorite tapes to watch!

Vince wanted to start Royal Rumble 1994 with Scott vs Rick a la RR 1989 Ax vs Smash, they refused so had them come out as 1 & 3 instead.
I read a long time ago that the Steiners wanted more money, and Scott supposedly cornered Vince in his office over it, possibly verbally threatened him. Vince never used them on TV again after that.

Interesting. Never hear this before. I'm surprised Scott Steiner hasn't ever mentioned this in a shoot.

I have heard Vince has wanted to do this a bunch of times. With Teams like The Headbangers and The New Age Outlaws. So I can believe it.

it sure is.his mind is fried from all the HGH cocktailes he has used.
Ricks is better......actually I had heard the RR thing before.Hawk and Animal refused to do this in the RR91 and they werent punished....they were rewarded.they looked badass being the only ones not afriad of Taker then eliminating him
of course Vince had been after them for 4 years prior to signing them so maybe they were a touch different

Their matches from the land of the rising son were (IMO) their best stuff for the most part. Their ECW matches were good, but i feel they weren't there long enough to showcase what they were capable in ECW.

The Steiners Japan stuff was great. BUT IMO their greatest match was at Beach Blast 92 against Steve "Dr Death"Williams and Terry "Bam Bam"Gordy Jesus an epic encounter that created HUGE interest in Japan because they were the Tag Champs of the two biggest outfits.....and it was a huge dream match. anyone who hasnt seen this match should see it today.stiff as as well.

In Hitmans book he spoke about the Stieners being bullies and trying to hurt local talent all the time...playing mean hearted pranks (Ribs) and actually wanting out of their contracts to go back to WCW. I'm guessing they didn't like the structure of the WWF. They were a great team. Once I wrestled an indy show with Rick Stiener..I shook his hand and still to this day its the hardest hand I ever shook lol.....it felt like it was concrete.
also LeighD I've watched that Stieners vs Harts match quite a bit....I'm surprised that Scott didn't break Owens neck with that Stiener Screwdriver...that was pretty careless.

Yeah I remembered that moment. If I was watching that match live, I honestly would have tought Owen had a broken neck!
