As I said to you on MSN the other night, I'm pretty sure the pre release is as far as they got and they thought " , this isn't going to be ready" and released it for a huge public testing haha. Mine isn't THAT buggy, thankfully; but there are certainly some patch up jobs to be done.

The full 1.8 update is now live, simply log into Minecraft to get the prompt. Colour me surprised. Job well done Mojang. Also, creative mode is the ing best; even if this no where near finished pirate ship looks terrible.

Well, I bought Minecraft a couple days ago after trying the demo. I must say, Minecraft is amazing! All I'm doing is digging through dirt, making wooden plank houses and getting killed a lot, yet I am finding it incredibly fun.

This game is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay overrated. Haven't played it and no intentions of doing so. It looks so poop and boring. It's all everyone talks about and it annoys the hell out of me. lol wut? Glad to see you've actually given it a fair chance, instead of just spouting off ignorant statements like the one above. You'll get hours of enjoyment from it, it's a great game.

If I remember correctly you said earlier in this thread that Minecraft is over rated lol... Glad you enjoy it man. I call it minecrack

If I remember correctly you said earlier in this thread that Minecraft is over rated lol... Glad you enjoy it man. I call it minecrack Yeah, it's incredible how just digging through dirt and sitting in wooden plank houses can be so fun. For anyone that cares, I'm showing my small and simple house. The outside: Let's go inside shall we? The main room. And now my storeroom: And that is... wait, there's more! Here is my second house (not much of one, just I found a door sized hole in a hill, only has 4 blocks of straight space inside ) And I created an underground tunnel connecting both of my houses together. I dug a couple of blocks downwards inside my tunnel to get coal, and it turns out theres a huge land underground area already there. (Of course these 2 or 3 screenshots are only a VERY tiny portion of it, I found one bit full of water around a turning, and a lava river on the other side!) And to end this post, I found gold for the first time! Since this edit, I've found Iron Ore and a red ore I assume is called either Bloodstone or Redstone. After an hour of exploring the underground, I've found that the places to go are limitless! Everywhere I turn, there's anther place to go. Unlimited supply of Redstone, Iron Ore, Gold Ore, Dirt, Gravel and Cobblestone it seems! I've found 2 lava rivers and about 5 waterfalls, and a water block I'm afraid to dig into in case water floods it all. I can't wait to explore and dig some more and see what else I find! This is so ing awesome, amazing and fun! ;D P.S. What can I make with Redstone other than Redstone torches?

Minecraft Awesome's first WAR event comes to a close with "Minecraft Awesome Is Awesome Episode 46: WAR Never Changes, But It Does End".
From the description: "Episode 46 of my little series ends Minecraft Awesome's controversial, chaotic, but most importantly fun WAR event. By now you know what's in store: killing, and lots of it. I end up leaving before the battle is fully over, but fret not: I was told that it did end shortly afterwards. With no clear winner in sight, the event was ruled a draw. So I never ended up going back there. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed this event and this "arc" of Minecraft Awesome Is Awesome episodes, so I look forward to the next WAR."

Got the demo on my xperia play because I was bored today and had a couple hours to spare. I made an underground dungeon It looked epic. Still find it boring though, although it is good to kill a few hours.

The Xperia Play version is nothing like the actual game. It's a stripped down classic version.

Like I said near the beginning, I had played the original(first version), and found it boring, and the same for the Xperia, but it passes the time in class and when I have time to spare

Ah, I misinterpreted you. I'm just getting kinda sick of people who haven't played the game judge it based on graphics and stuff haha. It's changed a lot since Alpha, the 1.8 update has basically redefined what the game is going to be and 1.9 is going to completely overhaul it. You should give it another go if you get a chance mate. Then again, it's not for some.

Redstone is used for circuits in Minecraft. You can make switches and systems that are controlled my levers and buttons and stuff. It's quite complicated, the best thing to do is read up on the Wiki. www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Redstone

It's not that I hate the game, as I don't, I just think it is over rated, to me anyway. I get where you're coming from, I hate people who judge before playing/doing/listening (to)something.

P.S. What can I make with Redstone other than Redstone torches? Lets see... Can control doors... pistons. You can make doors with pistons. People use redstone and pistons to make hidden doors, or even dams. I love to use redstone its fun haha. Kinda tricky to build big things you need to use redstone repeaters. Ive used pistons to make tables. "Jets are me" knows what Im talking about.

My 1.8 seed is definitely the best world I've ever had in Minecraft. SO many caves and resources to be had, lots of trees and animals. It's perfect. I'm glad I kept my pre-release save, as they apparently cut back a lot on the cave systems in the actual release. I'm glad I have plenty to explore. haha.
Wish WF still had a server.

Thats my current house. I'm exploring a HUGE cave system ages away, so I thought I'd take a picture as I was back at it for the first time in forever. The well is more for aesthetic purposes, but also has an infinite water supply if I ever need it. It's got three floors. Bottom floor has a bed and a food dispenser along with a fireplace (Which needs netherrack) - Middle floor has a work bench and two furnaces and the top floor has several chests stockpiled with stuff. What do yours look like guys?

Big pics. Sorry about that. My sandcastle. My portal to the nether and my pirate ship in the background. My cobblestone fortress. About 20-30 rooms, swimming pools, mine entrances, etc. My garden. My house. My pets! 12 tame wolves. View from my diving board. Also shows my lit walkway between fortresses, pirate ship and the giant tree past the diving pool is my greenery where I have lots of bushes and trees planted on top of an indoor swimming pool. Lastly, the underwater walkway to my pirate ship. Inside it is a bed and a few other things.
