Very few WCW guys were given a chance to succeed in WWE, and unfortunately Steiner was one of them.

Steiner only did badly in wwe 'cause of triple h's position in the company, and the fact that he was terrified of Steiner.

The more I look at that pic of HHH the more I think hes on roids (not that its a secret anyway). I'm sure he wouldn't have that stomach on him if he was working out as hard as before, and he was perhaps using the roids and working on his upper body. Don't know much about these things but its the impression I get.

Steiner has claimed this in a past interview, but HHH will never admit to this. But personally, I believe it. HHH was roiding big time back then, and every time time the WWE claims that they have put in a drug policy, evervybody seems to get smaller physically except for HHH(and now Cena in recent years). I agree, HHH will never admit to it but he hasn't exactly hidden it well. He still looks huge to this day. The biggest I remember seeing HHH was WrestleMania X-8. Man he was H.U.G.E.! He obviously juiced big time for 'Mania. Why WWE didn't build up steiner for 3-4 months to have HHH vs. Steiner at Wrestlemania is beyond me. WWE just basically fed him to HHH and Steiner was more or less done for that stint. Pisses me off as I thin Steiner would have great short matches due to his foot.

Steiner bombed badly solely because of his Royal Rumble 2003 match with Triple H and the campy "Who's in better shape" things they did leading up to it (push up contest, posedowns). He was hot before that but after the disaster of RR03, he couldn't rebound. The crowd at RR actually turned against him. The NWO03 match was shorter and Steiner was pinned. 3 weeks later he wasn't even on WrestleMania. Not on the preshow, nothing. That tells everything. WWE had no faith in him to put on a good match at WrestleMania 19.
If his RR03 match had gone better, he'd have had a better run. Hell, he'd probably have taken the belt of H at Mania.

Like I said earlier, it takes two to tango, and HHH didn't look good in those matches either. Hunter was having a ton of boring matches at the time with a few different guys. HBK and Booker T basically carried him through their matches in 2003. Steiner may have had his bad foot and wasn't in great condition to go long matches, but Hunter wasn't looking that good himself in the ring either. Also, Steiner never had a chance to win the world title. Hunter had his death grip on it at the time, and Steiner was simply brought in because HHH had gone through everybody else on the Raw roster besides Booker T. Steiner was brought in to job to HHH, plain and simple.

another problem about RR03 was that match placing.
it couldnt HOPE to follow the epicness of Angle vs Benoit.
also I must point out that Steiner had zero hope of winning the strap.Steph tried to convince daddy to go back on his promise to Goldberg in the summer of 03 too(which in part led to the disasterous end to SS03)so steiner hadnt a hope.
their impact on Raw in 2003/04 was incredibly destructive.

Everyone is blaming Hunter cause Scott had a less than stellar run. But since he left Rick I can't think of too many 5 star matches Scott has had. His TNA run has been boring at best and I bet that has nothing to do with Hunter. Scott became to muscular and lost all the great potential he had during the Steiner Brothers days.
WWE knew he would most likely be exposed sooner than later so they tried to get some main events out of him first. Cause to be honest Steiner was atrocious in his feud with Test also. It's not like once the feud with Hunter was over, Scott started having clinics in the ring. He simply wasn't conditioned for the WWE style anymore.

Your neglecting the fact that Steiner had a serious foot injury that the WWE knew about, yet Vince still threw him in 20+ minute matches w/ Hunter. Steiner was brought in to job to Hunter and nothing else. The writters had already had Hunter burry everybody besides HBK on Raw by that point, and Steiner was brought in for somebody new for Hunter to defeat. Had the WWE been serious about Steiner, they would have kept him in short, 10 minute matches with Hunter, and they wouldn't have put him in stupid pose-downs w/ Hunter. I'm not trying to deflect blame from Scott, because he was terrible in the ring by that point, but HHH was putting on snooze fests too, so the blame has to go around to everybody involved, and not just one guy.

No respect for the man with the biggest arm and shortest fuse. Would it have killed Vince to give him a title reign any title.

Oh dear.....we all know the crowd turned on Steiner.
the point of this thread was how he was mishandled after a red hot debut.

Doesn't it seem odd that when HHH was champ the most...the ratings went to the shitter.

Doesn't it seem odd that when HHH was champ the most...the ratings went to the poopter. Kinda funny considering that HHH and Steph tried to convince everybody that HHH was the only draw on Raw from 2002-2004. Hunter would have done anything to keep the title on himself.
