The Hurt Locker.
Fantastic, gripping stuff...just a shame that Guy Pearce's character died so early but Jeremy Renner and Anthony Mackie were great...

Checked out Road to Paloma and the Fifth Estate.
Road to Paloma was really good for a smaller budget film imo. It's a bit of a predictable drama but I think Jason Momoa is awesome and he's extremely charismatic in everything he does, this is no exception. I think they could have done a better job hitting home the characters motivation though. I mean you gain an emotional attachment to him over the course of the film anyway because of the nature of his character's journey but I would have liked to see them go a bit darker, to the point where we see how the story really begins. The ending was pretty poetic when you think about the fully encompassing journey to the climax. Glad I checked this out. This is something I would likely buy on blu-ray for between $5 and $10. I think the editing was choppy, or at least not smooth enough for me to pick up on the scene transitions, but that was kind of a minor complaint with a film working on this kind of budget.
The Fifth Estate was extremely entertaining imo. I think it's a story that we kind of know pretty well at this point, especially because the events are so recent, and so unusual, but I thought Cumberbatch was eerily good in the film. I found myself really relating to the Daniel character, which was seemingly the intent, as he was the outsider looking in for the majority of the film in terms of his relationship with Julian. It really paints the WikiLeaks portrait as grey, which is what I loved. Assange is either a martyr or a criminal depending on your take of the situation and I think the film did an awesome job of pushing that decision onto the viewer. All stories of this nature are sensationalized but I felt the thriller elements of the film were really fun and intense and it left me with a better understanding of Assange's point-of-view. I know Assange requested people not to see the film but I think that was in large part to him wanting financial compensation as a consultant before giving it his stamp of approval. He apparently approved of Cumberbatch though and I can certainly see why. I'm not sure the real life Assange likes having the cult elements of his life explored but they certainly exist, as he clearly injects his ideals on those around him.

Which reminds me I need to check out Near Dark again soon too.

'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' HOLY SH*T!! That is all I can even say about it right now... Good good.......I'm looking forward to this. my last was Doom last night on Netflix. How on Earth did they go so very wrong with this movie? Soldiers vs the unknown formula is a proven winner......not here though.

The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring.
Always a fantastic watch, so amazing to see again after a long time, and especially after seeing the two Hobbit films...can't wait for The Battle Of The Five Armies...

Jobs
This seemed to get lackluster reviews on IMDB but I REALLY enjoyed it. Ashton is such a great actor IMO.
