ok its time for my patented "poll of the week" formula.
so for you lads what was Hogans greatest/hottest feud and dont forget to consider the payoff........
for me its Savage.the Mega Powers feud and break up was a masterpiece of booking and teased as early as Summerslam 88!!
Savage was built properly until it was time for them to split and looked like a genuine on the level threat to Hogan.plus all of us as fans wanted Hogan to kick his head in after what he did to Liz.
then you have the payoff-WMV was a great match and in my opinion Hogans finest hour match wise at WM.
so over to you lads.I see vs Andre winning this but hopefully not by much if at all.

my personal favorite is randy savage...the entire liz scandal with hogan pioneered a lot of regular storyline structures of today. piper is obviously up there as well.

I had to go with Piper. The Savage storyline was amazingly well done but it just seemed quick. It started at WM4 and was done by WM5...There were spot matches here and there before and after but nothing really legit. The Hogan-Piper feud seemed to never really end, even when they were faces together they acted like they didnt like each other.

overall, for me,it was Savage....the seeds of that feud were actually planted in October 1997 , when Elizabeth brought out Hogan to save Savage from a 3-on-1 beatdown against the Honky Tonk Man and Hart Foundation, and they remained allies from that point foward....
The Mega-Powers feud went all through the spring and summer of 1989,and even a bit of the fall, bringing along and mixing in Zeus and Brutus Beefcake as it went along....
the whole situation would be rekindled again in WCW, after Savage debuted and became a Hogan ally again,up until late 1995 when some chinks in the friendship grew after Savage walked out of the inaugural World War III PPV with the World Title,a situation that rankled Hogan on air..... but still, they were uneasy allies for awhile longer after that, til Hogan turned and formed the nWo ,with one of the initial opponents for the heel Hogan being Savage, who would eventuall join Hogan's side, and the nWo,once again....
so,pretty much,Hogan and Savage's career's and destinies were intertwined for almost 10 years .....

Andre The Giant in the WWF. the whole tearing off his cross thing is such a Hulkamania thing to happen.
in the WCW it was obviously against Sting. I mean, he was the nWo, really.
and Hogan back in the WWF/E I'd say against McMahon. Hogan vs. Rock was cool but it was generally too short.
for the poll I voted Andre.

Andre the Giant.
Second would be Piper. It still bugs me Piper a) never won the WWF title and b) the two didn't headline WrestleMania.

Sting for me. The build up was perfect, and while their match at Starcade sucked, the feud was one of the best ever IMO.

It's a tough call between Savage and Andre for me.
Andre was the first time I ever felt like, holy crap, Hogan could LOSE!
Both were great. But for someone who was on top for so long, Hogan doesn't have a lot of memorable feuds. He made his career beating the monster of the month.

Andre was the last, best hope to ending Hogan's run on top in the 80's,and when he failed....well,that didn't leave many other options at the time, did it? and when they finally did have Hogan lose to Andre, the made it such a mockery with twin ref's and payoff's and stuff ,that it made it seem no one could beat Hogan unless they went through an EXTREME amount of cheating to do so.... i mean, during Hogan's entire first WWF run, only one guy was allowed to beat him clean for the belt: Ultimate Warrior.... Andre : Feb. 1988 - twin referee scandal Undertaker : Nov. 1991 - Ric Flair interference with a steel chair Yokozuna : June 1993 - exploding camera in his face ....so,there you go : 4 pinfall loses for the WWF Title in a 9 1/2 year career in the WWF , 3 of those were under nefarious means.... and Vince wondered why people soured on Hogan for the last few years - no one was allowed to beat him cleanly!

I have to say Macho Man because their feud went so long. They feuded in Macho's initial heel run, then became the best of friends, blew up on national TV, fought for the title at WM 5, and the feud carried over to all the way until the No Hold Barred PPV at the end of '89. There was also a redux in WCW. Those guys got a lot of mileage out of each other. My only criticism is that it was too one-sided in the single's showdowns. Old Leather Butt always won.

I would've voted for vs Sting if it wasn't for the ending of their match. I went with vs Andre, since at that moment it was something amazing to have both face. Probably nobody was sure on what was going to happen back then.

I agree 100%. Funny thing is that you'd think that McMahon would have learned from his past mistakes, yet did the same thing w/ Cena. While not as invincible as Hogan, Vince still pushes Cena as Superman and people turned on him because it got stale quickly. Luckily for Cena, he has the kids buying up his merch, just like Hogan did back in the 80's. Just look at when Cena has lost his world title's and you'll see the same thing... Edge: Cashed in MITB on a weak Cena RVD: Defeated Cena after interferance by Edge Orton: Cena was injured and forfited the title Edge: Won it after 5 guys teamed up on Cena in the Elimination Chamber Edge: Defeated Cena after interferance from the Big Show Orton: Defeated Cena inside HIAC(after he tapped out to the STFU w/ the ref down) Sheamus: Defeated Sheamus in a table match, but didn't actually put him through one, as Cena just fell through it Batista: Won it after Cena had gone through an Elimination Chamber match Sheamus: Won it in a fatal-4-way match Had Hogan and Cena ever teamed up, nobody would have ever defeated them, no matter how much there opponents cheated lol

to be fair,WCW did the same thing at first, too ..... he only lost the WCW Title the first time due to a nefarious (there's that word again) plot involving Jimmy Hart turning on him and siding with the Dungeon of Doom .....
he only lost the WCW World Title cleanly twice during his time with WCW - to Luger in August of 1997,and to Goldberg in July 1998.....the rest of the time, again, due to nefarious means....
The Giant: Halloween Havoc 95 - secret clause in contract by Jimmy Hart, who turned on him, stating Hogan loses the title if DQ'ed
Sting: Starrcade 97 - the infamous f-up ending match
Ric Flair : Uncensored 99 - Flair had the ref in his corner, who ignored Flair's bleeding in this 'First Blood' Cage Match...
Sting : Fall Brawl 99 - Sting turns heel and attacks Hogan with a bat....
so,again, whethe face or heel, Hogan was portrayed as the guy who simply couldn't be beaten 95% of the time unless it involved outside forces or foreign objects....
