I go through phases where I sell them because I get bored (and generally there’s a wrestling purchase I want to make and I see it as easy cash haha). But as I said before, I don’t see much to do after the story’s done really because of how old the games are. I don’t want to sit and play a game for 15 hours and then I’m done, I want a good 100 hours of playthrough and then do post game breeding and hunting and even at times in Gen 7 I just delete my living dex and do it again as I find that quite fun. Just something that I get excited to play and I think “oh today I need to do this and this and then that”. I just did the Gameboy Logo living dex in Gold and Silver and Red and blue. Between all 3 games it took nearly 120 hours, but it was hella fun. If I play through Gold and Silver again soon then I won’t really see the point if that makes sense. Wow. I'm more in the middle. Not 15 hour speed run but like 30 or so. 50 probably for the newer games that are longer.
I like having good teams and training them. Specifically people I've not used before.
The funnest part of a playthrough for me is planning the team though. I’ve just sat and planned a team for my Shiny playthrough of Pokemon Shield when I get it. When a new game comes out ever year since ORAS I’ve done a full on Pokédex grind playthrough and the other copy I’ve done shiny only. I didn’t give Gen 8 much of a chance last year, but with the DLC’s I was itching to play and I’m damn glad I gave it another chance!

The small nest that is located right at my apartment building finally paid off! Got my first shiny Machop, and evolved it to Machamp straight away as it was a high CP with 14 attack.

I finally got done breeding my upcoming White 2 team. Lord I don't miss doing that... And Scott! I also like planning my team and making sure my team is just good in general with the best natures/abilities/moves etc.

Finished the post game today and got my Shiny Charm. Been hunting on Route 1 since I'm going for all Gen 8 Pokemon to start with in Shiny form for my living dex. Trying to get Wooloo, Nickit, Rookidee & Skwovet to 500 encounters to max them out, not doing it in any order just whats on the route at the time. First one I got shiny was Wooloo, the one I wanted most. Gonna keep going till I get everything on the route before moving forward.

^ Nice. I love Wooloo.
My team is level 12-15 and I'm about to beat the second gym before I go to bed.
Good luck to people on Magmar Community Day.

Ended the morning with two Shiny Skowvets and a Wooloo. I'm trying to get another Wooloo mainluy because Nickit is the rare encounter on Route 1 but just an uncommon encounter on Route 2, so if I can get Wooloo I can hunt Rookidee more along with Nickit and the added bonus of Yamper & Chewtle on Route 2. I'll keep going for a bit tonight after the football.

Got more shiny Magmar than I was anticipating. Took a little while until I got a couple, and then after that they rolled in. Ended with 11.

I have 14 so far and I'm not done yet!
I got a really good shiny Magmar early so I'm happy.
I evolved that one and will probably just do one or two more.

I can’t imagine how many I could get if I legitimately played 6 hours lol. 11 is a lot for just sitting on my couch and checking the game a couple times an hour.

I started playing around 12:30 btw.
Caught 5 before I left to the mall with my brother.
Only caught 2 there but as I was talking sh*t about the mall I caught 3 in the parking lot lol.
Since I've been back and on the way home I caught the remainder.
Might go walk at his local park to get more gifts and likely at least one more shiny.

After getting lucky with 3 quick shinys, my lucks turned. I’ve been on Route 1 for two days and nothing. I’m past the max odds on Wooloo and Rookidee, nothing. I got all 3 of my shinys before the odds maxed so I’m either incredibly lucky or incredibly unlucky. Hell, or both.

I didn’t realise this, but because I bought a new switch and kept the same Nintendo ID, I can download things I already purchased from my old switch. I’m gonna download Let’s Go Eevee again tonight and play that through.
Haven’t thought of a team of 6, but I know it’s gonna revolve around Charizard as my “starter”. Any suggestions?

I'd say use one of the Alolan trade Pokemon like Raichu/Ninetales since they are awesome.
I have them on my team.
I am a fan of Clefable and any of the Eevelutions but since you have Charizard that would mean Jolteon or Vaporeon.
Have fun though.
--------
Update on my White 2.
I got 3 badges and my team is as follows:
Scraggy 23 Barboach 21 Tropius 21 Musharna 21 Trubbish 21 Vanillite 21
I need to play some more when I watch Raw so I think I'll get my 4th badge later tonight.

Clefable and Vaporeon are part of the 6. Debating on Alolan Raichu since I don’t have an Electric type on my 6, but I have Victreebel which is necessary for the first two gyms. I really wanna use Rhydon and Dragonite since I’m running Special Charizard so gonna use Y as it’s Mega. As it stands it’s : Charizard Victreebel Clefable Vaporeon Rhydon Dragonite It may change but that’s the plan right now.

I wish it evolved at level 45-50.

Any Pokémon Go players with access to Mesprit or Uxie raids want to swap trainer codes for access to Azelf raids during the Lake Trio event?
Been trying for 45 mins on Reddit to get into international raids to no avail. It’s a complete mad-dash scramble over there. Figured I’d try my luck here. 🙂

King Silva agreed, I totally get it that it’s a pseudo legendary so it evolves late but, in Gen 1 you’re never gonna grind a Dragonite when the only dragon type move in that game is Dragon Rage. Gen 2 wasn’t any better with its treatment of Tyranitar. Same level but you get him after 16 badges and in the last 5 minutes of the game!! I totally understand that in competitive times there’s more to it than just using it for a play through. But a lot of the pseudo’s are a big draw to the games and you want them on your team. Being so difficult to obtain isn’t a problem, but the fact that a Pokemon like Dieno evolves at 64!? Why?

When I have a Dragonite on my team in Gen 1/2 I don't get it til right before the Elite 4 on RBY and for GSC probably like when I have 13-14 badges.
So it sucks to be stuck with Dragonair/Pupitar.
At least they didn't make you stick with a Dratini/Larvitar til so late like Deino.
I HATE 5th Generation high levels to evolve people...
