Who would you guys say were the top guys that WWE had between 2002-2005
What I mean is Rock and Austin were the top guys during the late 90's, everyone knows that
But In the time between Rock and Austin stopped wrestling full time (2002) to the time Cena/Orton/ blew up in 2005, Who would you say were the top guys in that time frame

As much as I used to like him, Orton was far from being a top star in 2005, Batista was.
2002-2005 were Triple H and Kurt Angle. You could probably add Brock Lesnar in there.

Triple H, Lesnar and Angle for me.
People like Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio and Edge definitely need a mention too just for quality of matches. The glue that often held it together.

In 2005, the top guys were Cena and Batista, easily. Orton was killed off by HHH in 2004, so his Taker feud was building his credibility back up that year.
Anywho, I'd say that from 2002-2005, the top guys were easily HHH, HBK, Lesnar, and Angle. These guys were constantly at the top of the card, and Raw was built around HHH and HBK from 2002-2005, while SD was built around Lesnar and Angle, and then just Angle after Lesnar left. There is a good arguement that Eddie Guerrero took Lesner's spot as the guy SD was built around from 2004-2005, considering how over he was.

Good shout about HBK mate, don't know why he didn't spring to mind. He was sometimes quietly going about his business but was always near the top.

HHH,HBK,Brock Lesnar,Kurt Angle,Undertaker.
all the above dominated main events from 2002-2005.
with Eddie,Benoit,Rey,Edge,Christian,Orton,Jericho,Kane,RVD and Booker T keeping the mid card solid as a rock.
was gonna mention Goldberg but because of WWEs(Vince and Stephs)crap booking of him his run was a dead loss.

From 2002-2003, him and Booker T were the most entertaining tag team in the WWE and had some of the funniest promos of all time.

A few people have mentioned Benoit, and there is an argument for him, but I never saw him as "The Man," even when he was the WHC. As champ, he wasn't even the main focus on Raw, as the HHH/HBK feud was the main focus of the show during his run as champ.
