Has anyone ever heard of the 1992 Hasbro Wembley Stadium mailaway exclusives? I have been a collector for many years and have never heard of these figures. There are currently 2 on ebay and the seller claims he has an entire set which consists of Macho Man / Ultimate Warrior / Big Boss Man / Rowdy Piper / Hacksaw Jim Duggan / Hulk Hogan / Brutus Beefcake / Jake The Snake. He says they were limited to 250 and were a mailaway exclusive for a select group of individuals whom attended SummerSlam 1992. Has anyone ever heard of these or have any information at all on these exclusives? I have emailed the seller but he has yet to respond.

I've never heard of them either. They maybe legit but I doubt it. There would have been mention of them years ago. Almost 15 years after the fact, they surface now ? As much of a Hasbro nut I am, personally, I've decided not to risk 100's of dollars on 8 figures that are most likely custom bagged or factory leftovers.

I do remember hearing something about special SummerSlam figures. Do some more research and I'll look around as well.

unless they are getting them confused with the regular hasbro figures that were issued in packages with a "win a trip to summerslam!" sticker on the corners of the package...

I saw them on eBay earlier this week. The seller even e-mailed me to offer them to me.
I never heard of them before that, which seems odd if they are legit as more should have surfaced since 1992. The prices asked for these bagged figures exceed what I want to pay for them ànd I doubt the authenticity.

92? Wouldn't they have new versions of Savage and Bossman? Seems fishy they would offer out of date figures as mailaways

I know I have seen the bagged version of that Macho Man before. Wasn't it released in a ring set of some sort with a bagged Hogan. I am in talks with the seller and will let everyone know what new information he can provide. They are 100% sealed and they do look legit.

I have a hard time believing the authenticity of bagged figures that look just like the carded counterparts. They're too easy to fake. These bags, even with the printing on them, are not hard to get. Anyone with a sealer can take these very common figures and seal them in a bag. There's nothing, save a plastic baggie, that makes them different from the regular issues. IF there were some sort of postmarked mailer envelope, a flier of some sort, or anything else of that nature, it would lend some credibility and make them more desirable.

What would make more sense for these would be if tey were repaints of all the figures.
Like: Macho Man and Warrior in Summerslam gear Roddy Piper with a black shirt instead of white Jake with black tights with flames and others.

I think it was a mailaway for the 1992 WWF UK STICKER ALBUM. + i think i ordered one from the book ,but i don't have now.
If i remember right there was about 9 - 12 mailaway figures to order for £5.95.

I have that Big Bossman, and he had a nightstick. I think I may hhave the answer... This is a photo I have just taken from my Summerslam 1992 programme, and those are the figures on offer in the mail order catalog, so my theory is these are just regular figures, but bought in a mail order catalogue and so they came in plastic bags instead of on card. Now thats not a fact, its' just my thoughts on why these figures are in a bag.
