If only I had $37 to drop on this right now...
Thanks though, I'll be keeping an eye out to make sure it's still available next time I have money.

Thanks for the heads up, just ordered a copy. Can't wait to read this. I'll probably re-watch both of the WCCW dvds while I wait for it to arrive. His interviews on both are very good.

The moment I saw this Thread, I thought "Grumpy likes this." Yer darned tootin'! I just finished the book. BEST WRESTLING BOOK EVER! (In my opinion). This guy worked his ass off! I never knew how much work he did behind the scenes. I think the only person who you can compare him to is Jim Cornette. (A bit of a spoiler coming up) 3 things I never knew- Gary Hart hates Chief Jay Strongbow, The Missing Link and Sting! His story about The Link is incredible. Please do yourselves a favor & read this book. 5 stars, man. I only wish he could have lived to see people's reactions to it. This man really had a mind for the wrestling business.

I still regret not going to meet him in Allentown the day before he died, that's something that will always bother me.

So, why was this book so exspensive? Sorry if I am missing something here. ha The first run of his book was released in 2009 in a very small quantity. I'm not sure why. Trying to find a copy was like looking for the Holy Grail. One popped up on Ebay & it sold for over $240.

Forgive me here, but was Gary Hart really that relivent? I mean,he wasnt BOBBY THE BRAIN HEENAN. Maybe I'm missing why his book is such a "must read"
Dont get me wrong, with all the hoopla,I'm thinking of getting it, just not sure why the fuss?

Forgive me here, but was Gary Hart really that relivent? I mean,he wasnt BOBBY THE BRAIN HEENAN. Maybe I'm missing why his book is such a "must read" Dont get me wrong, with all the hoopla,I'm thinking of getting it, just not sure why the fuss? Gary Hart wasn't just a manager. He was a booker, agent, talent scout, creator and much more. If it wasn't for his input, World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) wouldn't have been as monumental as it was. Without him, we wouldn't have had The Spoiler (who was a huge influence on the Undertaker), the Great kabuki, The Great Muta, King Kong Bundy, The Ultimate Warrior and others. (It's late & I'm tired, forgive me for not listing more.) Gary Hart was a big influence on Jim Cornette. See the way Cornette was passionate about wrestling and keeping it kayfabe? Gary Hart's passion for the business was unmeasurable. I highly suggest watching some old interviews from WCCW & WCW to see how he could tell a story. He didn't need to hoot, holler & shout. He delivered his interviews in a calm manner, which lured you in to see what his evil mind would do next. Chris Adams used to call him "the Vincent Price of wrestling". If you follow old horror films at all, you can see how methodical, evil and sinister he (Price) was. That nickname suits him perfectly.
