ok heres my top 10 ion no order 1)Ric Flair 2)Macho Man Randy Savage from 89-91 3)Million $ man Ted Dibiase 4)Bobby Heenan 5)HBK in 97/98-my God that was some super heat. 6)Vince Mcmahon 7)Ravishing Rick Rude 8)Rowdy Roddy Piper around WM1 9)HHH after WM15 and then again in 2002-2006 10)Hollywood Hogan-undeniable. As most have alluded to, I think you could make two types of lists: the best heels based on a specific time frame and the best heels of ALL TIME. When I think ALL TIME, I think of people who were prbably heels most of their career and no matter the circumstances made people want to see them get beat up or boo them- in essence you love to hate them. With that as my criteria, I would say my top 5 would include:
Ric Flair
Bobby Heenan
Hollywood Hogan
Ted Dibiase
Roddy Piper
Hnorable Mentions would include Rick Rude, HHH, and Shawn Michaels

Slaughter was a very good heel even back in the 80s. he's mostly just remembered for his face runs during the time, but he was a great heel in Mid Atlantic. I still wouldn't call him the best, just have to mention how great Sarge is when I can  For my money though, it's Piper. He's completely unreal. There are many people who are very close, but he's at the top for me. |

HHH when he pedigreed xpac at wmxv and screwed what we thought was a dx reunion earlier in the night. Only to join Mcmahons Corporation!!

I would say there is a few .. HHH when he pedigreed xpac at wmxv and screwed what we thought was a dx reunion earlier in the night. Only to join Mcmahons Corporation!! that is one of the most shocking and least talked about turns EVER. not only did nobody see it coming the number 2# face in the company became the no1# heel in the company overnight. HHH had incredible heel heat for doing that.and I dont think its unfair to say he was second only in popularity to Austin because he and the DX army were over like effin rover. |

I'm glad Bobby Heenan got mentions in this cause he has been one of the best. Not the greatest but a good heel and not mentioned so far.... Earthquake. Not a technical wrestler but still an enjoyable heel and to me back then...belivable. Another big man with no mention being Yokozuna - he was the top heel in WWF for a few years if I remember? And trying to add any not already mentioned... Vader in WCW  |

Id say its between Shawn Michaels in 1997, Ric Flair throughout the 80's/90's, Mr McMahon during the attitude era, The Million Dollar Man in the late 80's and Triple H between 1999 and 2001. All of the above had major heat during those eras. DiBiase kicking that kids Basketball really shines through. And following the montreal screwjob, HBK still cant get a good reaction in Canada.
